CHAPTER 59: FOREST HEIGHTS- DOWNTOWN EDMONTON
WEATHER: SUN

BIRTHDAY UPDATE:
Thanks for all the birthday wishes!!! I love and miss you all and appreciate the texts!!! My companions made my birthday the best day ever!! They made me a fruit cake (a cake literally made out of fruit) and i spent my day playing pickleball which was fire! Some of the elders got me some fire gifts so shout out to the crazy bread, treats, drinks, and cards!!! My companions also went above and beyond with gift giving! I had an amazing dinner with Sis. Hampton and she made me a cake. We got icecream with the elders and that about wrapped up my day! All in all best day ever!!!

EXCHANGES:
I went on exchanges with Sis. Opp this week in Blackmud Creek! It was fun to run things back with her! The exchange was super everywhere but really fun! We eneded the exchange with a volleyball night they run in their stake. I sat out with another sister so that others could play and we started talking. I was discussing plans with this sister about what I wanted to do after the mission and sharing some struggles Im having with deciding what to do. I didnt think much about the conversation after that and continued about the rest of the night. As I got in the car I saw that one of my recent converts (jack) had texted me about the very thing I was talking about earlier with this sister. It was a crazy cool miracle and it was cool to see that God was working through others to answer my prayers and help me know that he understands and knows me.

PLAN OF SALVATION:
Okay so this week we were downtown. (For a little history on downtown my companionship is the only sister companionship in the whole zone just because downtown can be a bit dangerous) So we were downtown in a pretty normal area we consider safe (as safe as it can get considering we are downtown) and usually as we walk theres lots and lots of homeless people. So this particular day that was the case. So nothing really out of normal. We went to the library, had a lesson fall through, and on the walk back to our car decided to talk to some people. One of the people we stopped just so happened to be a inactive member. (Spencer) As we got talking to Spencer the conversation was going really well and he was super friendly! About 5 minutes into a conversation with him a man runs over waving his arms at us telling us to call the ambulance because a guy on the other side of the street just tried to overdose. So Spencer gets on the phone and bids us to follow him to this guy laying on the floor (he was homeless). The ambulance people told Spencer to roll him on his back and start doing CPR. Spencer rolls him over and theres blood and mud dripping out of his mouth. As he performs CPR we are all realizing that this guy is already gone. The ambulance does its thing and confirms what we already knew. We end up leaving and it's was actually really sad. It was comforting however to know that god has a plan for each and every one of his children.

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT:
We have been struggling to get in contact with our friend Shatra. So this Sunday we decided we would go stop by and see if we could catch her at her home. The problem was we only had her apartment address and no apartment number. We decided to have fsith anyway. We get to her apartment complex and there we face problem number 1, getting into the apartment. Most apartments you have to get someone to buzz you in. So we start buzzing people and nobody is unlocking the door for us. A man ends up coming out of the building and holding the doors open for us to go in. Step 1 This is where we run into problem 2... which floor is Shatra on... it would be easy if it were a small apartment complex but this apartment complex has 12 floors. So as any missionary would do we decided to pray. Step 2 We decided to go to the 11th floor because thats the impression we all received. We knock 1110 and nobody answers as we turn to leave i had a distinct impression to knock the neighbors door. I knock the door and out comes a lady and she invites us in. She told us her mom recently passed away and her 2 sisters recently died as well from cancer. We taught her the plan of salvation and testified that she can see her family again. It was amazing. As we left her house it was so cool to reflect and see how God was leading us to this women the entirety of the time. Although we didn't find Shatra we still were able to help a Child of God feel of his love. Step 3 ️

I love and miss you all!!! Email me!!!

Club soccer week 2!

The second week of school Brecken brought home a cold.  Well I  picked it up and it turned into body aches, and sinus infection.  I  missed these two games being in bed.  Preston was down and him and Brecken were in charge of taking pictures.  They did a lot fo standing pictures not action shots. lol. The first game u11 Landon had a great shot and they won 6-3.   The games were pretty close together so while dean went and got lunch Brecken and Preston went to fire lake.  The wind picked up so Brecken was the only one who got in.  After lunch it was the u10 game.  Those games are always a bit closer since most of the boys are new to club soccer or soccer in general but they pulled out the win 5-4 with Landon having a hat trick. I  was sad to miss it but was feeling better by the end of the day to go to church the next day.

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT
This week I had the cool opportunity to clean the chandeliers in the Edmonton Temple. Our temple has been closed for a couple weeks now for cleaning. A lady reached out to us and asked us to join her for cleaning the chandeliers. The lady that had reached out told us that her calling was to clean the temple chandeliers once a year. If you are like me I had no clue at all that that was a calling  If you are also like me you would have absolutely no clue that they clean each crystal individually. If you are also like me you would probably be thinking why do we have to clean each one individually... seems pretty tedious to me. Anyway so as I was trained how to clean the crystals she relayed that you wont be seeing dirt on your gloves simply due to the fact that the crystals and chandeliers are already clean. Our job was just to make them shine more. As I sat in the sealing room cleaning each crystal individually I thought about the resemblance those crystals had to me and you. Each and everyone of us are accounted for in God's eyes. He knows us. He knows our needs, fears, and desires. Jesus christ cleaned us all individually. He suffered the sins for each one of us individually. He also knows us perfectly. So as I sat there cleaning the crystals I realized that God accounts for everything and everyone. Every single crystal matters just as much as every single soul matters. He wants all of us to shine. He wants all of us to be made clean through his son Jesus Christ.

I love and miss everyone!!! Thanks again for the sweet messages!!! Have an amazing week!!!
