April 1-8th

Its been a minute but Eler Monson is back.

I'd like to start thanking Staci for getting on me once again for not writing. But here we are! I'm doing good out here in Itá we've had so many miracles. I've been with my comp Elder Mason from Pennsylvania, he's a stud! 

Time a time again in the mission I've found myself not knowing what to do. This transfer that happened. We had so many great people that could potentially take the step of baptism, but they were all uncertain. And we'd gone, invited the spirit, testified, read the Book of Mormon, invited, etc. They believed and knew it was true. Just for some reason did not want to enter on the path through baptism. My comp and I never lost faith but I found myself saying to Heavenly Father as I honestly often say. "I've done everything I can think of, I don't know what to do, what do we do?" And then as the Lord has done time and time again he works miracles and shows me that Elder Monson just has to do all he can, and then remember that he has all power, and it's his work. So in these last two weeks we've been able to help Eulalio and Liz be baptized, and also Cristhian and Cristofer. Eulalio rejected the baptism invitation a few times, and we knew had a testimony. The last invitation the spirit was so strong and he accepted. 

   With Cristhian and Cristofer, well. They wanted to be baptized. But Cristhian had to get married. Which is lit cause he wanted too. So we started talking to the judge and planning everything. Then last minute Cristhian lets us know that they're tight on money and weren't going to be able too. The members all put in some help and it was a miracle. But then the judge tried doubling the price on us. So me, being the business man I am, went back to my days with Payt, negotiating with the Pawn Shop for his xbox. And I may have honestly fibbed a little wasn't my best moment. In the process of repentance rn.. I told her we had another guy that we could use that would do it for cheaper, and that we wanted to work with her but it would be impossible for that price. To my suprise, that didn't work and she left me on read. So we called and talked and she said she would se what she could do. We prayed with all we had asking Heavenly Father to help us.. The day of the wedding she let us know that we had to go to her, but she'd do it for the original price. So we agreed even though we had a bunch of cute decorations ready in the church. It was an amazing experience the wedding and baptisms and a huge miracle. 

I love the work of the Lord. It's been a lot of struggling, suffering, and sacrificing. But I think sometimes us as people get so caught up on the sacrifice and suffering that we miss the miracles that pass right in front of us. There's joy when God is above all other things. 

I'll have to let ya'll know what happens but I'm thinking I'll probably be getting transfered to my last area this Friday. I never get too nervous for transfers but this time around I'm lowkey trembling. We'll see what happens! 

Shoutout to Landon or Gandy for carrying his soccer team even though his team and coach aren't the best. (Kidding mom, you're a great coach, I'm sorry your team sucks).
