BYU Bound

After we got Preston off on Sunday Shaylee and I  spent Monday packing and cleaning out her room.  It took all day but we needed to leave bright and early Tuesday morning so we had to get it all done on Monday.  I  was driving up with Shaylee to take up all the big bulky stuff and to get her moved in and things hung up and organized for her, and then go over and help Preston with all his stuff.  We pulled out around 7:00.  Said goodbye to everyone was bittersweet for Shaylee.  The drive up went fast and Shaylee and I  made good timing.  We got up to BYU before check in but that wasn't a problem and they got us right in to start unpacking.  No other roommates were there yet so we got to work moving shaylee in.  We made pretty good time and stopped in her apartment to go help preston.  Preston definitely needed help putting all his stuff away and finding a place for everything.  After his place we headed to a mexican place with Ana and weston for a late lunch.  The food was good.  AFter lunch we headed to walmart with the kids to get things they still needed and groceries.  That seemed to take awhile, but we got a good chunk taken care of.  I  stopped and grabbed Krispy Kreme donuts for the kids on our way home.  When we got back to Shaylee's apt some of her roommates were moving in so we got to meet izzy, Haleigh, and Mitchell.  They all seemed like nice girls.  We got shaylees groceries and things put away and put together a shoe rake and I gave her my present for college.  It was a book full of different gift cards for different situations they might need some money.  I  think went up to Prestons helped him with his snacks and shoe rack and gave him his gift and then left around 5:30 to start heading home.  It was a long day but it was fun to be with my college kids and help them. I  might have cried a few times on the way home just thinking how fast it all went and how slow at the same time.  Then we start thinking did we do enough, teach them enough, do they feel like they are enough and loved.  I  said some prayers and knew that these two kids had each other, some good friends, and strong testimonies of our Savior Jesus Christ so I  knew they would be just fine up at BYU without me. lol.
