We left Thursday to head out for our labor day trip with the kids. We left late Thursday so we stopped at Grandma Monson's home to sleep before we got up to go the rest of the way to Bear Lake. We were meeting Preston, Shaylee, and a few of their friends up there for the weekend. Shaylee invited Ana, the we had Preston's missionary comp Torgerson. Trey, Payton, Weston, and Colton and Koma. So 14 of us for the weekend. Preston pretty much planned it with his buddies and asked Dean and I to execute it. We got on the road friday morning around 9:00. Landon lost his tooth while driving up and he really doesn't like losing teeth so it was a big deal if you can tell by all the snot and tears in the picture. Addison pulled it for him. We stopped at costco in Logan on our way up to feed the crew. We got all unpacked and then headed over to st. charles to visit grandma Hannah and wait for the kids to show up to go on Bloomington Lake hike. We got a late start on the hike but we made good time and pretty much had the lake and rope swing to ourselves. We all took turns on the rope swing. We even got Landon to do it this time. The water for me was extra cold and I couldn't seem to catch my breath. lol. Addison just stayed out in it forever. I don't know how she did it, but she helped get Landon back and out safely. It was really smokey from the fires going on in Idaho so we didn't have clear skies and pictures but it was still beautiful. We headed back to go to labeaus in garden city to get dinner and shakes. I was still a little wet from the hike so I was freezing while eating. actually we all were pretty cold and ended up eating fast so we could get in the car and warmup. The older college kids stayed and walked around and bought some sweatshirts and things. We came back to my mom and dads cabin and did some games and hit the sack so we could get up from the lake the next day.
