100 year Flood

The first week of school we had some good rain. We then had a break for a couple days and then it really started to come down.  Friday morning I  went down to method to get my blood drawn. When I  came back I  couldn't get home because all the streets to get to our house were flooded with rain.  I  had to go all the way down to 180 and go down by three falls then come back toward my place. When I  got home I started to receive text that our ward and neighborhood was flooding.  Houses were getting so much water.  I  went and grabbed Landon from school and then Brecken.  While I  was out I  picked up a bunch of kids I  our ward who couldn't get home their normal way so I  took then around tell we made it to their neighborhood.  Once we were done Landon and I  started to shovel sand bags for as many families in our ward as we could.  Dean went to a few houses to start helping.  While we did sandbags I  called Brecken and his friends and told them to come help.  We then went down Reeves And gilbergs street to start shoveling mud and helping out there.  We got home around 8;00 to then turn around and go back to houses to start clearing them out.  We woke up the next morning to more helping shoveling cleaning.  We went through so many houses to clean them out.  Sunday we only had church for 1 hour and then multi stakes started to come and help out with houses.  We had about 15 townhomes in our ward, and 7 homes who were flooded.  We tore out drywall,  shoveled mud, pumped out water went through all the mud items and personal Items to see what can be saved.  It was a long weekend and we were both spent. We were just getting started though and had the next week to help load up and find people housing, food, furniture, and so much more.  It was crazy.
