End of School and roommate birthday party

Prestons roommate and good friend Weston had a birthday at the end of there Freshman year at BYU.  Preston tried to make it a good birthday by taking him golfing and throwing him a surprise birthday party at Texas Roadhouse.  He also bought him matching golf polos for the golf game.  These kids had the best group of roommates and friends their Freshman year and I'm sad to see it come to an end.   

 

Another Baseball Game

This was a great game for Landon.  He is really starting to understand the game and where the ball needs to go to get the best out.  He sometimes hates relying on his teammates to catch the ball so he will do a foot race with the player to try and tag them.  He had some great hits and got home every time.  

 

Relaxing Weekend

We woke up and headed down to the stairs on a Saturday morning.  Lisa was going to be doing a Easter Egg hunt for her spa and we wanted to find one.  We headed out and did the stairs first.  Addison wasnt feeling good from her Wisdom teeth so she just did it once. I did it a few times and the some of the boys wanted to do it a 4th so they did one more than Brecken and myself. It is such a good work out and I  love going.  After the stairs we went and played some pickleball.  We had fun playing until we realized we were missing the Egg hunt so we hurried out to find some eggs.  We figured out one was around Sakura, and then another was by pinkbox donuts.  So they dropped off Landon and I  at Pink Box and they headed to find the one at sakura.  We found both then chose which one we wanted more.  We ended up with a hydrafacial.  After we found the eggs we ended up letting the boys get Zepps while we shopped around TJ Maxx.  We then headed over to Grandma and Grandpas because they said they were doing some pool and yard work and we offered to help.  Dean took Grandpa's motorcycle around the block a time or two while we visited with Steph and Grandma. The weather is getting warmer and it felt good to be outside and playing.

 

Addisons Wisdom Teeth.

Addison got her wisdom teeth out in April.  We did it on a Thursday morning then she would have the weekend to heal.  Addison had no complications ad woke up just fine from anesthesia just fine.  She however did not recover fine.  She took the longest I've had yet.  Her mouth hurt, her cheeks were swollen for almost 2 weeks, and eating was hard for the first week or more.  She suffered and was in pain quiet a bit.  She had senior pictures planned for a week later, but we had to cancel because he swelling hadn't gone down by then.  She was a trooper though and got through it. 

 

Volleyball Gold Medal

After the picnic with Landon earlier that day we then had Breckens and Deans Final Bracket volleyball games.  Their team was sitting in 3rd, so we had to win our first game to make it to the championship game.  We played a team that we have beat 4 times and they've beat us 2 times.  We had some great games and the score was close on both of them. We pulled out the win 25-20, and then again 25-22.  We were feeling pretty good going into the championship game, but then we lost one of our best players to club soccer.  We had no subs, but hoped for the best.  Everyone was fighting hard and not letting any balls get past them.  They were talking and doing their best.  Our serve's were all going in and we  had a great but close first game.  We had to win by two so we went over 27-25.  We had to then beat them on the second set or take it to a third set.   Brecken was so excited he wanted a medal so bad.  He kept jumping around and yelling.  He had some great serves and got us a bunch of points but the other team was battling and kept come right back with another point. we pretty much stayed neck and neck this second game. They had a chance to win but their serve would go out, we would have a chance and our serce would go out, it went back and forth.  Finally Brecken got us an ace on his first serve to put us up by one so we just needed one more point again.  He served and it went over they hit it back to us and then we hit it back to them and got the point so we won that set and won Gold in tournament play.  It was so fun to watch Brecken play hard and work with his teammates.  Dean was a great coach and the boys all got along great with him.  It was a fun learning season. 

 

School Picnic

Landon's school had a kindness week, and one of the days was to invite family, friends, and grandparents to a picnic during lunch.  Landon was so excited about this he called and invited grandma and grandpa and then went and called Stephanie to personally invite them.  He told us he wanted Jimmy Johns with a real drink (sprite), and a bag of BBQ chips. I picked up the food and told everyone to meet at the back lawns for Landon's lunch at 11:30.  We layed out blankets and chairs and waited for his class to come out.  When he saw us he took off running he was so excited to see us.  We talked and ate lunch and Landon was getting a little antsy about missing lunch recess so we let him go play with his friends while we finished nad cleaned up.  It was such a nice day for the picnic we stayed and visited a little longer then headed out.  I  sure do love that we live by some family and they could come and make Landon's day.  

 

Winner Winner

Had to document that I won the March madness brackets I  was in with some family.  I  would have destroyed everyone if my team Duke wouldn't have flopped the last minute of their last game, but since Houston didn't pull out the win for Steph or Dean I  got the victory.  Now to figure out what I  want as my winnings.  It was a large blizzard for everyone else but I  don't really eat ice cream so....
