CHAPTER 31: Gateway YSA/ Downtown Edmonton

WEATHER: We were in the positives all week!!! Very rainy which means lots and lots of ice but im not complaining!

EXCHANGES: 

I went on exchanges on friday and I got to go back to my old area, Glen Allan! It was so weird being back. We found 5 people while being there and it was amazing to see some of my old members. My friends Alex and Rosy are still progressing towards baptism! Alex has asked the bishop for help with proposing to Rosy! Im so excited that they are still continuing to learn and grow and become closer to our savior jesus christ! It was so fun to see how i needed to be in that area for my first 3 months of my mission. Im grateful for each area and companion that has been divinely chosen to help me grow! 

HIGHLIGHTS: 

♡ Found 4 people in 15 minutes 

♡ Got bashed about the apostasy for an hour

♡ Interviews with Pres 

♡ Played secret Hitler with the district ( im basically undefeated) 

♡ Went through some secret passages in our church (one of the oldest churches here) and went up to the steaple and signed our names on the wall

♡ Filmed ads again (at this point you would think we would all be famous) 

♡ Brought Ronak lunch and had lunch with him 

♡ Played sardines during FHE 

♡ Got invited to go to Japan (all expenses paid for) - let me know if I should take the offer! 

♡ Went to the temple! 

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT: 

We've been reading 3 Nephi 27 with alot of our friends lately and I love that chapter! Its such a powerful testimony of this church and its name. Sometimes I hate giving my spill of the church's name because it takes so long haha and I only have some people's attention for a bit. However, this is the church of Jesus Christ. And its important that we call ourselves as that and that we center our church on him! Don't lose him in the details! Don't lose him in the miracles!  Don't lose him in your talks! Don't lose him in your prayers! When people come to our church, the first thing they should notice is our love for our savior and our church's stance on centering our lives on him!
