Monson's Summer 2016 Family Road trip Part #1

We left Thursday night June 16th, after Deans work to head out on our road trip (summer vacation).  We ended up on some very deserted back roads for over 180 miles without civilization.  That happened twice.  We were in the middle of nowhere heading to Tonopah to stay then night and then head up to Lake Tahoe. We knew we wouldn't get to the hotel tell late, so we found one of the only hotels that had a normal name and rating.  We ran into the Clown hotel, Shaddy Hotel, and a few other sketchy hotels we laughed about it for awhile.  This one was definitely unique a well, but it served its purpose.  We laughed when we pulled in about 5 hours later that night to a baby on a casino sign.  The kids couldn't figure it out and kept laughing about it. We woke up the next day to head out to Lake Tahoe we were all excited about this stop on our trip.  It took another 4 1/2 hours to get up to Tahoe.  We got checked into our hotel, and ran across the street to the lake.  The kids couldn't wait to put their feet in.  It was a cold and windy day so the kids didn't last very long before we turned around on the beach and ran to the hotel hot tub.  They stayed in the hot tub and the pool for a couple hours.  They loved it.  I was car sick from the ride up the mountain, but I was able to put my feet in the hot tub, and try and warm my cold body up.  After we got all cleaned up we drove around looking for a place to eat.  After Dinner we walked around and looked at a few things before we grabbed some Ice cream, and headed back to the hotel to watch a movie and get some rest.  We had a long day the next day of driving to Oregon.
