Brecken turned 8 years old on May 9th. He was so excited to turn 8 and have a party. His birthday was on Sunday (mother's day) this year, so we had his friend birthday party Friday after all the kids got out from school 2:30-4:30. He chose a nerf war party and asked his guests to bring their weapon of choice, or we could supply them with some as well. The kids loved the party. The games did okay, but all the kids just wanted to get out on the battlefield and have a nerf war. We divided them into 2 teams (Blue team, and Green Team) gave them their mask, glasses, bullets, and bullet holders and sent them out to play. Dean had turned our backyard into a battlefield and the boys went to town. Teams were a little uneven so we threw Landon out there and he was in Heaven!! He got some awesome gifts and had a blast. Saturday we told him he could choose dinner and were he wanted to eat. It was Iron man weekend so we decided to stay away from St. George. He chose Dairy Queen and a frozen hot chocolate for desert. Sunday we decorated and celebrated Brecken. He is an awesome boy and so loving. He was so excited to get a camera, paint kit, bouncy ball making kit, and more. He kept saying thanks mom. Dad picked up Donuts Saturday night since we couldn't make the run Sunday morning. He loves donuts. We then went to church where he got a king size candy bar from the bishop and sung to in primary. We went to Grandpa and Grandma Eves house for mother's day dinner and then Cake and Icecream for Breckens birthday. Overall I think he loved the whole weekend and enjoyed getting spoiled. He loves art, creating, and can spend hours doing perler beads, and other projects like that. He played soccer, and basketball this last year. He is in some tennis and golf lessons as well. He loves taking pictures and filming/recording people. He also chose to get baptized this coming month. We sure do love this son/brother of ours.
