Florida Vacation May 26-June 1st.

Day #1 TRAVEL DAY

We Left the morning of the 26th.  Our flight left at 8:15 Vegas time.  So we were up and out the door by 4:30.  It started off nice and calm, but by the time we got to the airport the running around insured.  We had to check one bag, and then get 7 of us through security.  We finally made it with about an hour to spare to wait for our plane.  The kids were all so good and so excited.  Everyone helped each other and we couldn't wait to get going on our trip.  We were really excited because we would be going with our neighbors the Wheelers.  We pretty much have kids who are best friends and all the same age so everyone was excited for that.  Our first flight out of Vegas left on time nad was the nicest of our flights by far.  They had built in headrest T.V.'s and movies you could watch.  I  hadn't slept good and get sick flying so Dean was nice and took care of Landon so I  could concentrate on not throwing up.  We landed in Houston for our layover with a half hour to spare before we loaded onto our next flight...we were almost there.  As they called us down to load we realized that they were taking a really long time to let us on the plane.  Finally they announced our pilot was sick and they were calling in another pilot so we would be waiting tell he got there.  I  think it was a little over an hour later we finally got on the plane and another half hour to take off.  These little planes make me really sick and I struggled.  Dean was a nervous wreck because our car rental place closed at 5:00 and we were going to be about a half hour late.  We landed and he jumped off and ran to get an uber.  He found a lady closing up and was able to talk her into helping him take a car even though they were closed.  It was cheaper to rent off the airport so it took him 3o minutes to get there and another 30 to bring the car back to us.  He then took about 20 minutes checking out the car, and then another hour driving to the wrong airport to pick us up.  He finally got to us a little after 7:00.  We then had a hour and 15 minute drive to get to our place in Destin.  We flew in to Panama City.  We got Chick fil a when we were close to our condo and once we reached it was 9:30 and we were beat.  I  told Dean we could wake up early to go shopping for food and things we would need and then hit the beach all day tomorrow.
