We decided to go up and visit Grandma Monson for fall break this year. We didn't get up there this summer with all the things we had to get done before Preston left on his mission. We arrived Wednesday night after Dean got off work we headed up. We got there around 10:30. The next morning we got up and went on some hikes in lambs canyon, and parley canyon. They had amazing leaves, and it was such a beautiful day. We picked up lunch and took it up to lambs canyon and had a picnic. Shaylee's ankle hurt her so we didn't hike much. We collected some leaf branches to put in a vase for grandma and Brecken of course pick a bunch as well. After our hikes we went back to grandmas to go to a pumpkin patch. We actually had a fun time doing the activities and loved spending time as a family. the boys loved the zip line, and the rolling tubes. The girls loved playing checkers, and connect 4 with us as well as tether ball. which we all suck at. lol. The boys road the train, and we played in the pumpkins. We came home to soup and watched a movie with grandma. Friday we got up and decided to do some shopping. The girls found stuff at H&M and I grabbed some things for Dean and Landon's birthday. We came home and had lunch with grandma and then went down to SLC to dinner and to watch a pre season Jazz game. We had dinner at Ruby River Stake house and then went to the game. The Jazz played the Mavericks. We ended up losing, but the first half was fun to watch. Landon and Brecken just wanted Ice cream so we finally got them dip N dots. They were happy to sit after that. Saturday we got up and let the boys go to a park while the girls went to target. Then we came back to grandmas to watch the BYU football game with Deans family. Syd and Joe came down, Heidi and her family came over. We frosted Halloween sugar cookies and had a blast being with everyone and watching the game. Which they lost too. lol. We had dinner with everyone at grandmas then we went up to Heidi's and had s'mores in her new fire pit. We left Sunday morning. We had so much fun and wish our time didn't go by so fast.
