We were so sad to have fall break over. Sunday morning we woke up to Landons birthday. We did a little decorating the night before and picked up a few treats to get him, but had told him we would celebrate his birthday the next day at home...because we had such a busy day today. We woke up sang happy birthday got him Breakfast and started to clean and pack up we had to get ready for church and head down the mountain to go to out nephew Hyrum's farewell in Layton at 12:00. We were meeting our older kids there. After cleaning and saying goodbye to everyone we headed out and made it with 5 minutes to spare for the farewell. Hyrum did such a great job and brought some tears to our eyes when he spoke of a letter he put in his elementary time capsule from his grandpa Monson. Grandpa Monson passed away right before the pandemic and so it was touching to hear his words and he told Hyrum to serve a mission. I loved it such a special experience for him. We hung out with some of the family afterwards but also had to leave to get to family pictures I had scheduled up provo canyon that night. It was really cloudy and started to rain as we got to provo, but it all worked out. We went to Shaylees. house were I cut Preston's hair and we all got ready for pictures. We drove up Provo canyon to our location and 20 minutes later we were done. It was painless. We then let Landon decided on a spot for dinner and he chose Texas road house for his birthday meal. He also let us get him in the saddle which most of my kids won't let us. lol. We then said goodbye to our college kids and headed home for a late night of driving to get home to celebrate landon's birthday the next day.
