Fall Carnival @ The FARM

Our School Fall Carnival was out at the Farm this year.  The kids were so excited, and I had never been so I thought it would be a fun change from the school.  We got our wristbands earlier in the week so we were able to walk in and head to the games.  The boys of course won a few of the big pops by playing ring around the pop.  I  think we ended up with 4 but we gave one away.  After that game we played a few others and decided to head over to the hay maze.  We got lost in it for a second, but luckily a few others were as well and we were able to get out together.  After the maze we headed over to the haunted house.  No one was in it so it and it was during the day so it wasn't scary just long to get through.  lol.  After the haunted house the boys wanted to go over to the big corn pile and jumping blow ups.  The boys played in the corn pile for awhile.  They finally got hungry and we used some tickets to buy some food and drinks.  We then went and put our tickets into the cans to hopefully win some baskets.  While the boys ate Landons name was the first one called for the first basket.  He was so excited even if it was a girl basket.  About 10 minutes later his name was called again.  This time for the Lego basket he really wanted.  He was really excited about that and we gave the girl basket away to a girl that didn't get one.  After we got out baskets we headed home.  The boys had a great time and it was such a nice evening.  Dean and I  enjoyed walking around and watching the boys.

CHAPTER 12: Sherwood Park/ Glen Allan
WEATHER: 50-60's °F (from all of my photos here on out you will only see me in coats and sweaters 🥲

Hi guys!!! This week was so crazy and so busy!!!

FOOD DRIVE:
This week we had a huge service associated with a food drive. This food drive is a really big thing where all the wards help out with it and everyone participates.  Me and my comps got assigned 2 routes to deliver bags for the food drive and than pick up 2 days latter. Our ward members all signed up for routes as well, but shortly after realized they were old and didn't want to do the routes.( when i say they are all old i mean it. We have 5 kids in our primary 😭) So me and my comps were getting messages all week asking for help with their routes. I'm not sure how many bags we ended up delivering and picking up but by the end of it I was exhausted. Sister Ballard drove the car while I ran house to house delivering the bags and than two days later grabbing the donations that were handed out. We also went to the actual distribution spot where people drop off the bags and did a 5 hour service there and helped unload bags out of people's car and sort them inside. There was so much food donated!!!

5 LESSONS- 1 DAY (Thursday):
Thursday was actually crazy. We were out the door at 9am and didnt come home till 9pm. We had 5 lessons along with a 2 services that were both over 2 hours! We didnt have time for lunch so we skipped that and than for dinner we picked something up Because we didnt have time to go home. Let's just say some of us handled this busy day better than others and we were down a sister by the last lesson of the night 😭😂  I loved the day though and all of our lessons went so well!!! (Plus nobody canceled so what is there to really complain about?!)

ELK ISLAND:
Me and my comps have some amazing members who offered to take us to Jasper national park but the APs decided to veto that idea because both of my comps have already been... so we went to the next best thing today! ELK ISLAND (ya no defiantly not the next best thing at all but it was still fun!) My members have a private lake and land they go to so we went there first and than we went to elk island. It was gorgeous and we saw elk, moose, and bison! Plus it wasnt that cold so that's a win as well!!!

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT:
Since our prophet sadly passed away i thought I would just share one of my favorite quotes from him. Its from his talk titled " The Answer is Always Jesus Christ" in April 2023.
"Whatever questions or problems you have, the answer is always found in the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. Learn more about His Atonement, His love, His mercy, His doctrine, and His restored gospel of healing and progression. Turn to Him! Follow Him!"
Jesus Christ is the answer. Jesus Christ is my "why". Im grateful for a prophet who helped me strengthen my testimony of Jesus Christ!

Thank you all for the messages and emails! They truly make my week! I love and miss you all!❤️🤍❤️
