CHAPTER 8: Glen Allan (Sherwood Park) / Cherry Grove (Cold Lake)
WEATHER: HEAT WARNING!!!🥵🌞 82-91°F (we got a heat warning this week and it was only 91°F ðŸ˜ðŸ˜‚ This is the warmest its been in Canada all year they say! Canadian people are so funny when it gets hot- (anyway in my opinion the weather was great!!!)

Hello Everyone!!! SO MUCH HAPPENED THIS WEEK!!! I will try to summarize a couple key things that happened so hopefully this email isn't too long for you.

SAUL:
We went to the temple this week with Saul! As missionaries we are allowed to go with our new converts to the temple for the first time. Saul baptized each of us sisters and it was an amazing experience. The spirit was so strong and it was so beautiful to watch him preform these sacred ordinances.

EXCHANGES:
This week we had the opportunity to drive the amazing 3 1/2 hours to Cherry Grove for exchanges!!! (We got lucky that we were allowed to go because apparently exchanges in outlining areas are rare) It was stunning there!!! The sunsets were beautiful!!! It was definitely more of a country feel compared to what im used to near the city. There were lots of farms and lots of Hicks. (I am really regretting not bringing my bedazzled cowgirl boots with me because I feel like if I would have worn those i really would have fit in🤷‍♀️) We went to a members farm and played with his goats and caught some chickens which was really fun! He gave us lots of eggs as well (which are no duobt better than store bought eggs) There were so many amazing people we were able to meet and it was truly such an amazing experience!!! On the way to Cherry Grove and on the way home we stopped at all of these random "worlds biggest" monuments. (Me and sister Ballard were kinda unimpressed with some of them but sister hinds was pretty adamant that we stopped- sister hinds had previously served in Cherry Grove so she wanted to give us the "full" experience)

ER:
I dont really know how to put this shortly but just so everyone is in the loop of things here in canada ill add this little section. I went to the ER on Sunday and we were there for 5 hours doing urian samples, blood work, x-rays, etc. Ive had sharp stomach pains all day for the last 4 days now so the nurse over my area sent me to the ER... which personally i thought was pretty excessive and dramatic but I did as I was told. Anyway long story short the outcome of whatever is going on is to be determined ðŸ˜‚😭 they have a list of things but arent postive yet so ill leave yall on that cliff hanger ðŸ˜‚😭Don't worry about me though because all will be well and im in great hands!!! (Everything is really all good and we can laugh about it dont worry)

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT:
On Saturday we were having dinner with a member in our ward. She lives in a neighborhood we had previously been knocking in a couple weeks ago. There was one particular house we knocked a couple weeks ago, where the person wasn't home but they communicated with us through her ring doorbell. We left a pass along card at her house with our number on it and told her to give us a call But never heard back from her. I kinda forgot about that particular house until we were preparing to go to dinner and I had the thought come to my mind that we should stop by that house again. Almost minutes after I had that thought Sister Ballard relayed the same thought. We stopped at the house and now have a return lesson with the lady we met. It was such a cool experience to see how the spirit was putting that specific thought into all of our hearts so that we can go help bring his child back to him. Always follow promptings!!!🙌

I love and miss you all! Thanks for all of the emails, love, and support!!! (I typed most of this email in the ER so hopefully it made since)
