ZONE CONFERENCE
We had zone conference today on Tuesday. It was good. We had lots of trainings on the vision to baptize. Our mission is trying to double its goal of baptisims per missionary per year. It was a good way for us to put into perspective what we were trying to accomplish and how we were going to do it.
HIGHLIGHTS:
♡ Taylor gonna be baptized "trust"
♡ Had 5 friends at church (listen its been a slow winter so that was fire haha)
♡ Threw boiling water outside and watched it freeze
♡ Made a vision bored
♡ Me and Sis. Ashby got frost bite on our eyelids
♡ Happy Birthday Addison
♡ Bruce the Moose
♡ Went thrifting on P-day
♡ I only lost control of the car twice this week (life motto: Let it slide- dont fight the ice just go with it)
SPIRITUAL THOUGHT:
2 Nephi 25:23
"For we labor diligently to write, to persuade our children, and also our brethren, to believe in Christ, and to be reconciled to God; for we know that it is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do."
This scripture is commonly misinterpreted. Its important to note when the Book of Mormon was translated in the 1800s the phrase, all you can do, meant in spite of all you can do. We are saved by grace despite all we can do. We will never be able to do enough nor have the capacity to ever achieve "all we can do". We need christs grace. I know that salvation is only possible through the blood and merits of Jesus Christ. (Mosiah 3:17 "And moreover, I say unto you, that there shall be no other name given nor any other way nor means whereby salvation can come unto the children of men, only in and through the name of Christ, the Lord Omnipotent.") I know christs grace covers each of us fully and obedience to the commandments is our way of showing love and appreciation for the gift we call his amazing grace.
Love and miss you all! Thanks for all the emails!
