It finally happened

For awhile now Addison has told me her teeth hurt.  They are the two bottom front ones.  I told her she probably had a cavity and the dentist can look at it when we go.  Then this last week she mentioned she also has some new teeth.  I asked her if she was growing some more molars…she replied yes probably. Well the other morning she asked me if I wanted to see her new teeth.  I told her sure and she continued to open her mouth and hold her head down.  There in the front were two new teeth popping up behind her baby teeth.  Addison is 7 and has Still not lost one tooth.  Well I guess the adult teeth got sick of waiting and are popping up behind the baby teeth.  I freaked out, called the dentist, sent a picture to Dean thinking we were in for some major dental work.  The dentist kindly told me she could wait to be seen at her apt in May.  I was shocked.  She then kinda laughed at me and told me these things happen all the time.  Well sure they do but not to my kids.  Then I receive a text from Dean saying.  "Maybe she has my teeth and its hereditary…..What???  He said ya I never lost my baby teeth so I had to go under and have 12 pulled.  What???  I've known you 10 years and I never new this about you!!!  Learn something new everyday.  So in the end, Addison really wanted to lose a tooth…so I told her to just start pulling and wiggling as hard as she could and maybe we could loosen them.  Needless to say after much energy and wiggling and maybe a little drama (blood)  Addison pulled her fist tooth out all by herself  the other day.  We are now working on the second one and its starting to wiggle as well.  Hopefully the other teeth will decided to move forward and correct themselves now that there is nothing in their way.  Here's to hoping.
