Hawaii Day 2!
We woke up bright and early Thursday morning to get up to Hanauma Bay. We were pretty excited for the kids to try snorkeling there. Dean and I had a blast last time we went and saw tons of stuff. We watched the movie about the bay and headed down to the cove to spend the day snorkeling. I stayed out the first part with Landon while Dean took the kids in to test out their snorkeling masks. Addison picked up on it fast, and loved it. Shaylee never did feel comfortable in the water, but she tried a few times while we were there. Preston was more afraid of the sea life touching him then of actual snorkeling. Once he got over that fear...which didn't take long he was with Addison out there the whole time. Brecken tried it out with dean a couple times and loved looking through the mask, but was still trying to learn to breath through his mouth piece. Shaylee volunteered to stay on the beach with the two little boys while I went out with the rest of them. It was so Fun. We all swam by each other and saw some really cool schools of fish and many types of sea life. While we were at the cove the lifeguard kept calling on the mike to stay away from the seals. Apparently some wild seals found their way into the cove and it didn't seem to be a problem until they decided to come right into the middle of the cove and fight each other. The lifeguards and people on duty said this has never happened before and they were in awe as much as the tourist. Because they were in fighting mode we had to keep our distance, but we managed to get some good pictures. Our spot on the beach was right were the seals came up onto the sand. We had to grab our towels and run. We all loved it. By the time the seals had come in we were just about done anyway so we packed up and made our way out to head over to the North Shore to meet up with some family that had just flown in that day, and check in to our airbnb. Once we got all settled we all jumped into our cars and headed to Hukilau beach. Its one of our favorites and so close to the place we were staying. It started to rain, but that didn't stop us from Body boarding, and playing in the water. All the kids took to the ocean like fish. They loved Body Boarding, and they could have done that all day. I Loved it too. Wish we had more boards to go around. We ended the night with some dinner and onto bed.
