Our second full day up at Bear Lake we knew we wanted to hike and hit up Bloomington Lake. We also knew we wanted to sleep in and hike it a little later in the afternoon. So we spent the morning hanging out, playing volleyball, corn hole, and spikeball...with a little cards as well. After lunch we headed out to the hike. The worst part is the ride up. It's a one way road that is not paved, it's windy road, rocky, and dusty. It took us about an hour with how slow we had to go to pull over and let people pass. The hike was fairly fast maybe 30 minutes if that. We all knew we wanted to do the rope swing when we got to the lake. We made our way over to it right off the bat so we could get in line for it. The hike can get really crowded, but overall it wasn't bad when we went up. It was still busy but we still found a spot to park in the parking lot, and the hike we didn't have to many people behind us or in front of us. When we got to the rope swing a few cousins and aunts went and then Addison was the first from our family. She loved it. Brecken went next, followed by Preston. I was a little nervous to go but knew I would regret not going. So i went next, and Dean went behind me. Shaylee didn't want to go and Landon wasn't having it either. Which was fine by me because I was afraid he wouldn't let go at the right spot and would hit rocks. After we did the rope swing a couple times we hiked around a little bit and headed back out. When we got back Dean, Lisa, and Devin took a bunch of people over to the Bear Cave to get some Shakes. I stayed back and helped start on dinner. We had dutch oven potatoes and chicken. It was delicious. After that we roasted s'mores around the campfire and played some games. Such a fun and relaxing day.
