Preston started Home MTC the day after his farewell on July 18th. We had him all set up in the office with all his things and some snacks. He sure was a snacker and drinker during those weeks of home mtc. lol. He said it helped keep him awake and present. The morning classes were good, the after noon classes was when he struggled with tiredness. We also struggled those first couple of days getting a new routine with Preston home and his schedule and needing to be quiet so he can hear and not having the boys fight while he is trying to learn. The first day I was so defeated. The little boys were so bad that day fighting and arguing all day. Preston was struggling staying in front of a computer and in a room all day. He hated that part. I will say though it got better with time, and we all started to enjoy the simpleness of life with the home mtc. We didn't have the t.v. on those 2 weeks as well as we tried to do things with the family and friends. We played games and invited people over for games and icecream. We went and played golf as a family, pickleball. He enjoyed playing basketball with his friends, pickleball and card games. I think the hardest part for him was that his friends were all still doing stuff without him because they were not in home MTC yet. They would come get him for drink runs or other stuff as well, but Preston was excited when the next week happened and he had two friends in home MTC with him. We had the 24th of July celebration while Preston was in home mtc. He had class and couldn't come with us so we kept the girls home with him to be his companion and took the little boys to the parade. We also were able to go golfing as a family since preston had a P day the rest of the afternoon. Addison also got asked to watch some puppies for a couple of days. The boys would go with her and swim and help her. They all loved it.
