New years eve

New Years Eve we got all ready and headed to the airport to welcome home our friend Hollis.  Preston has been friends with these boys for a long time and it was fun to see them back together.  All the families of the boys came to welcome him home since he was the last one to go and come back.  It was fun to talk and visit with everyone.  The older kids had plans for New Years Eve so It was just Dean I and the boys.  We did get to eat dinner with everyone before they all left around 9:00.  We ordered Jimmy Johns, made wingers wing sauce and had wings and dips, cheese crackers, summer sausage all the things.  We were so stuffed.  We then went over to visit my parents and steph.  Lisa and Devin were there and we talked and hung out with them.  We made it home around 10:00 and put on a movie and played the switch.  I  went into my room around 11:00 to read but stayed up to hear the kids ring in the new year. 2025.  I  can't believe it.  We hope this next year is  filled with more love, adventure and blessings. 

 

21st Birthday!

Preston turned 21 this year.  I  can't believe it.  He's all grow up and living the college life.  Preston was home for Christmas break so we were able to celebrate with him.  We got him up around 9:00 to open some gifts.  He got some Jazz tickets and utah hockey club tickets as well as some shoes, and clothes and other things.  He wanted Mcdonalds for breakfast so I  took him to grab a breakfast.  We had reservations for Top golf at 12:30 because he wanted to be home at night so he could hang out with his friends.  We took the family to top golf and got a lunch there.  The kids love it.  We had a blast playing the games that mostly Addison and Landon won. lol.  The weather was beautiful so after golf we sat out and let the boys play corn hole and we did some ping pong.  We got back and preston wanted to run up and grab treats for his game night.  He had some friends over and they played some games upstairs and watched a movie.  Over all I  think it was a good day for him.  We love him and are so glad to have him back with us to celebrate in person. 

 

Christmas Day

Christmas all together again.  It was so special and fun to have Preston back with us for Christmas.  The boys had addison up early and she turned on a show so she could sleep a little longer.  I  think we had everyone downstairs around 8:00 ready to open presents.  Preston asked for a golf pass so he could golf this summer without going broke.  Shaylee asked for an apple watch.  Addison asked for some new ski boots and taylor swift album.  Brecken and Landon got new ipad to replace the broken down old ones of the girls.  (they only get to use them when we travel so they were a little bummed I  took them away.) Dean got me a foot massager and he got a new suit and work clothes.  After we were all done opening everything we cleaned up and headed over to Grandpa and Grandmas for lunch and to give them their gifts.  We had leftovers from the night before plus some sandwich fixings.  We all hung out and enjoyed one anothers company then grandma and grandpa handed out their stuff to the grandkids and kids and we gave them their presents.  We got mom a new bosch after 30+ years and dad some new workout shoes that he can just slide on since its hard with his back.  Matthew then had to leave back to Arizona for work so we took some pictures hugged everyone and came home.  Grandpa and Grandma and stephanie stopped by to see the kids christmas and hang out for the evening.  We did pretty good and didn't have very many returns the kids we all very grateful and we were really blessed this last year.
