PIckleball and Sakura

We started off Christmas break with a family pickleball day.  Again it was going to be beautiful weather and we just wanted to take advantage of it.  We grabbed some Jimmy Johns to eat while we were playing and my kids live for jimmy johns and the chips. lol.  We had a couple serious games going on.  Preston and Shaylee were a good match up and went up against Stephanie and her friend Kim. It went back and forth and Preston and Shaylee ended up winning 2-3.  Lisa and Devin took on Steph and kim as well and I  think Steph and Kim pulled out the win.  Grandma and I  played with the littles while Dean switched off with Brecken and Addison on his team.  Grandpa has a hurt back and can't play with us. We keep waiting for a call from the surgeon saying they can fit him in sometime this month.  His scheduled appointment was March and then got moved to early February, but they thought they would have some cancellations in December and he could get it done earlier.  So far nothing.  He is a good sport though and comes and watches.  We sure love our parents.  After pickleball Preston had a christmas party at Texas Road House  that evening so he couldn't join the rest of our family at Sakura.  I  thought it would be fun to take the family.  I  wanted the boys to go they have never eaten at a place like sakura before.  I  knew they would like the idea of it.  I  didn't think they would love the food.  I  was right.  Landon was a little nervous no thanks to Shaylee who had him scared the fire was going to burn us, but after he realized it was okay he loved watching the chief entertain us and make our food. The rest of us enjoyed our food and the night.  Addison was the only one in our group to catch the shrimp in our mouth.  Can't say I  was to disappointed with that one because I  hate seafood.  Over all it was a great family day and I'm glad we got to hang out together.
