The girls had wanted to get pictures on the beach the whole vacation and we were just so busy it never happened but tuesday morning before we left we were able to go down to the beach and grab some pictures. It was windy and the sun was in a horrible spot for any good pictures, but we got some none the less. We found a lady walking on the beach and asked her to take our family picture, and those ones turned out the worst. lol. but the kids ones turned out okay and the kids had fun walking down on the beach that morning. They had just cleaned up some of the seaweed and the beach looked the best it had the whole trip. We went back to the condo and finished packing nad heading out to the airport. We had to be out by 10:00 and our flight was at 11:45. We got to the airport and through customs and everything fairly fast. The kids all grabbed some burgers and fries while we waited for our flight. Our flight took us to Texas where we had a 4 hour layover. we packed cards and things to keep us entertained but it was a long day. We left Texas around 7:00 and made it to Phoenix by 7:15 Phoenix time. We grabbed some Chick fi la and waited for out last flight to take us to St. George airport. We left at 9:45 from Phoenix and got home around 12:30 and in bed by 1:00. It was such a long travel day but everyone was champs and everything went smooth. I loved spending this time with my family and some friends. We have so much change coming up in our home it was nice to have some one on one time.

Playa Del Carmen day 5 TULUM
Monday morning the Wheelers still weren't feeling good so we went exploring to Tulum. We went to the ruins. Its a national park so we had to pay to get in and walk around, but it was fun to learn more about them, and it was so beautiful right up against the cliff that drops down into the ocean. We spent a couple hours looking at all the ruins and looking for all the iguanas. They were everywhere. After Tulum we headed out to some Cenotes and get a lunch. We hit up a taco buffet at the cenotes before we went out. Again we were all starving and the tacos were good overall we then headed out on a tour of 4 different cenotes. The first one was a really small cave. Preston almost had to lay on his back in the water so his head wouldn't hit the ceiling. The water was extra cold but the water was crystal clear and so beautiful. The next cenote was the jumping cliffs. The kids favorite probably. We all jumped off the highest one and had fun playing in the water. The next cenote was a longer river trail then we headed to another cave. This one was the coldest since it doesn't see any sun. It was a little longer then the first and again the water was so blue and beautiful. We left the cenotes around 5:00 and headed down to do some shopping at some flea markets. We tried to be fast so we wouldn't be out past dark but it took awhile for the kids to find anything they liked and parking wasn't going in our favor. We did find almost everything the kids wanted at great prices. The kids are bargainers. (love it). We then grabbed authentic street tacos on our way home. The meat is cooking on the side of the road and everything. I didn't eat any, but everyone said they were the best tacos they had while down there. They all loved them. We then let the kids swim one last time since we would be leaving the next day.

Playa Del Carmen day 4
Sunday was our first day to just relax and hang around the resort. We slept in and then the boys went straight out to our little pool while the older kids got ready to go golfing. We headed down to the pool area to play for the day and got a call saying that their golf was way more then they thought so they would be coming back to play with us for the day. We stayed out in the sun all day. We came in to have a lunch and listen to weston zoom homecoming talk while I made hamburgers and hot dogs. (Yuck). Preston was the only one to eat anything we ended up throwing it all away. The food there was just awful. We went back to the pool and got some drinks at the bar their ( non alcoholic). We tried a lemonade daiquiri, a strawberry daiquiri and a pina colada daiquiri. My favorite and the girls was the pina colada one. the boys loved the lemonade one and everyone shared the strawberry one. We then went down to the beach to play some family games and get in the ocean. There had been a lot of jellyfish warnings and stingings so we ended up not getting in but addison did jump in for a little while. We played spike ball and just hung out on the beach for the evening. Everyone was starving by the time we got back and we had no food so the kids went and picked up KFC. Even that had a weird taste but was better than anything we ate. lol. We then played some card games, turned on twister and watched that for the evening as well as the olympics. The Wheelers had some sickies that day so we didn't see them at all.
