Preston left Tuesday morning from Asuncion and headed to Brazil, from Brazil he went to Texas and from Texas to St. George. He arrived at the airport Wednesday afternoon after flying and layovers over 24 hours. We had been tracking his flight so we knew how close it was and we were actually one of the last ones to show up. It was so good to see so many family and friends that made it to support Preston and our family. We had the Eves side that lived here and the Monson side that lived down here as well as the Wheelers and Larsens. He was one of the last ones off the plane and I felt like the wait took forever, but when we all saw him I couldn't stop the tears from coming. He looked so good and I couldn't wait to get a hug from him and just hold him after 2 long years. He was shaking and a little overwhelmed and emotional, but was so excited to see everyone and talk to them. My sister Amy had taken a fall the day before and broke her hip so she couldn't be to the airport so my mom dad and steph had to hurry back to take care of her so just our little family headed out to eat. Preston really wanted some seafood so we headed over to Red Lobster. He got the steak and lobster. He also tried some coconut shrimp and ate Landon's popcorn shrimp as well as one of my chicken fingers and a few rolls. The boy was a bottomless pit. lol. After Red Lobster we returned home and he wanted to show us all the gifts and souvenirs he got for us. The girls got dresses and the boys shirts and ties to match. We brought home a nativity, some table runners/mats, money, earings, scarves, fans and more. He wanted everyone to have something. We then got ready to head back down to the airport to see our neighbor and Preston's best friend return home from his mission to mexico. Preston was super excited to have one of his friends return home the same day. Payton looked great and it was so fun to see the two missionaries together again. After the airport we drove around to show preston some things that had changed and stopped at Walmart to buy him some things he needed. We made it home and stake president thomas stopped by to release preston from his calling as an Elder. His daughter had returned home that day as well from her mission. Preston then informed us he was hungry again and when I suggested getting ice cream he said he needed food food as well. So we bought blizzards and chicken strip baskets from DQ that night. We watched some of the olympic trials adn then headed to bed after a very long fun emotional day.
