Saying Goodbye

Sunday we went over to grandma and grandpa's for dinner and Amy wasn't doing to well she didn't really communicate with me or talk to much and she seemed a little agitated.  Monday morning I  felt like we needed to go over there and hang out with everyone.  Lisa brought her kids over to swim and play so I brought all my kids over.  We hung out for most of the day but around 4:00 amy wasn't doing to well and all the kids running around was taking a toll on the adults.  My older girls and Preston took all the kids to our house for the late afternoon/night why us adults stayed by amy's side.  Around 2:00 she was antsy and hadn't slept all day so we gave her some morphin.  4:00 she was still not sleeping and her eyes were always open so we gave her some more morphine because we felt like she was uncomfortable and we wanted her to be at peace.  Dean and Devin both came over after they got off work and we just took turns setting with her and all bawling our eyes out.  She struggled those last few hours as we all sat around her.  Dad gave her a wonderful blessing around 5/6 and by 8:00 she had taken her last breath here on earth.  My sweet baby sister went back to heaven were she was whole and healthy and it was one of the hardest days our life.  We called hospice and they came about an hour later and got her ready to head to the mortuary and around 10:00 the mortician came and took her away.  We all sat holding each other bawling.  We were so unprepared yet weren't surprised.  She was talking and eating and drinking the week leading up to her hip breaking and as soon as she broke her hip it only took 5 days for her to leave us.   We then had to head home and let all our kids know.
