HAPPY CANADA DAY
CHAPTER 52: FOREST HEIGHTS- DOWNTOWN EDMONTON
WEATHER: We got some sun this week... mostly ran haha. We're sitting in low 20's when its not raining so thats honesty such a W!!!
STRATHCONA WARD:
So right now im covering two wards... forest heights and the married student ward. The married student ward is full of noise, babies, and couples. That ward definitely knows how to make you feel lonely When we go sit by people at church were basically always third wheeling. Haha and we cant even hold the cute babies so it makes it worse (just needed to rant about that one)
AFRICAN FOOD I ATE THIS WEEK:
Jollof Rice
Fufu (had it before but i actually really like it)
Gnocchi
Puff Puff
(Our African friends (all of our friends are African lowkey-highkey haha) think its super funny that im white so they always load hot sauce on my plate and tell me to try it)
HIGHLIGHTS:
♡ Had my first p-day sports in 12 weeks!
♡ Did a Canada Day service for basically the whole day and saw so many other missionaries!
♡ Happy fourth to those in the blessed country who got to celebrate it!
♡ We found 15 people this week (we on that finding grind fr fr)
♡ Got offered wine (got bashed after denying it)
♡ Slipped and fell my first time in Canada (and of course its not even in the winter time)
♡ Had 20 mosquito bites on one arm
♡ Held my first cat (didnt even get a picture so RIP)
♡ Had interviews with president and 1V1 basketball game after (i was in a skirt but it was a close game haha)
♡ Helped 2 members move
