The Party!!

The Birthday Boy!!

The yummy cupcakes.
The all got a medal for playing the games.

Group shot minus 2 girls who had to leave early.

We decided to throw Preston his Birthday Party before Christmas break. It seems everyone is going somewhere or has something to do around his real birthday and he really wanted to have a friend party this year. So we did it on the last day of school. He was so excited...our only problem was I wasn't thinking to well and we did a sports party well our basement flooded so that space was out. Right now our backyard is dirt and the front yard is covered in cords for all our Christmas lights. Well I decided we would do it in the front yard anyway...then it decided to rain for a week straight...(still is by the way). So we resorted to the Church gym. That was the best idea. The kids had a blast, we played a few games...then just let them play any game they wanted to and just run around. We then came back to the house and opened up presents and gave them there goody bags. Over all I think it was a success and Preston loved all the attention and presents.

Wonder of his birth

We kept up with our annual tradition of going to Tuachan for there Live Nativity. This year was so mild. I was actually dressed to warm, people were making fun of me. We were able to see Santa, before we went into the theater. You have to admit these are some darn cute Santa pictures my kids are sporting. Addison and Shaylee were on the edge of their seat during the hole thing. Addison loved the baby Jesus, Shaylee loved the animals, and baby Jesus, and Preston loved the camel as well as the big mountain with the star on it. We truly had an amazing time and were lucky enough to have my parents and sister Amy there. I love how the play is short enough to keep my kids enthralled the entire time. I also love that they learn the true meaning of Christmas. The birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Little Addison 3 years old.
Preston 6 years old
Shaylee 5 years old.

I didn't notice Addison tell my husband told me what she was doing. She thought it was funny to pull faces in a lot of the pictures.

Early Christmas to my Boys!!!

Pack up the goodies, Pack up the car...
You might have to travel a little far...
To a Jazz game-a dream come true....
This is my Christmas gift to both of you.
Ya...I know I'm that good!!! :)
He was very excited about this picture...He wants me to print it out so he can hang it in his room.

Contain the excitement Preston...contain the excitement!!
I surprised my boys with a early Christmas gift. They are Jazz fans all the way...it's pretty bad. Preston can name the players who is who, how many points they've scored..you name it he's all over it. Especially when Dean has to work and leaves Preston in charge of making sure the Jazz win. He will set on that couch and watch play by play....and then the next day can tell Dean exactly what he missed...(What six year old does that?) Anyway when I got the opportunity to give them some tickets from one of Santa's GREAT ELF'S...I couldn't pass it up. I put a present under our tree that said open early with Dean's and Preston's name on it...and inside was my wonderful poem. Preston was reading it and got to the part of the Jazz game...and he looks up and goes "Wait...what does this mean?" So Dean took it and read the rest...needless to say they were so excited. They left the next day around 12 and spent the night at his parents and then came home the next day. They had a blast and I don't think Preston will ever forget that day!!!

November in a nut shell...

Wow...were to begin. We moved into our house the first of this month and have enjoyed having our own little space. The kids have loved helping Dean put up Christmas lights, and their own little beds. We also went to the festival of trees this year. Preston's school class had put a tree in this year and he had decorated a few ornaments, so we went to see his tree and the ornaments he did. They had some beautiful trees this year...but of course we voted for Preston's Alice in Wonderland tree. We also had family down this last week for Thanksgiving. We had family pictures taken and did Christmas lights all weekend. We had my little sis bless the newest addition to the family this last weekend as well. Tynlee looked so beautiful and it was a wonderful blessing. We had a ping pong tournament with some of the neighbors...and Dean won!!! Good job honey. Black Friday shopping went well we got everything we were hoping for.
Plus we had our basement flood on us on Friday. I cried. All my Christmas presents and everything were floating on 6'' of water...and I was done Christmas shopping too!!:( We are still working on that though. We also had the opportunity to speak in Church on Sunday...and believe it or not, I was not one bit nervous. YES!! It went really well and then we went and helped Shaylee give her talk. I was up all night the night before with little Addy..she get such bad asthma like symptoms during the winter...I hate it. Over all we had a very fun November and cant wait to see what's in store for next month. I already have one surprise that I will post about later this week.Family waiting for their turn for pictures. Kids trying to feed the ducks

Family getting ready for pictures..
Grandpa and Grandma had a sleepover with all the grand kids, while the parents went black Friday shopping.
The winner of the ping pong tournament got a kiss. but dad didn't get that part.

Harvest of Talents!

Preston entered the Harvest of Talents @ his school again this year. He really enjoys drawing...so that is the field he wanted to enter. He told me he wanted to draw a fall tree. Of all things a 6 year old boy would want to draw. He did a great job and ended up taking 2nd place in the drawing area in his school. He is already coming up with things he wants to draw for next year. He loves it and he is very competitive...(something he gets from his dad).

These two...

Last Sat while we were moving into our new house...we had some Landscapers outside working on our front yard...Grandpa went out to help them, and so of course my kids had to go help "papa". Well a little while later the girls come walking in through the kitchen where my mother and I are working. I just caught a little bit of there conversation then tell my mom to listen. She looks at me strangely as she listens to the girls and says "I don't understand what they are saying". I start laughing because there conversation goes like this "si habla espanol? muy bien... then they go on to pretend to talk in Spanish. They had been out with the landscapers who are talking a mile a minute in Spanish and the girls felt like they should to. My mom and I could not stop laughing...it was to cute.
