Oh the EGG-citment of Easter

We had a great Easter Weekend. My sister Stephanie came down, and she brought a couple little friends (my nephews Jaden, and Tanner) they were on their spring break for the coming week. We started the fun out by going down to the mall Friday to look for a swimsuit for my mom. Grandpa decided to take all the kids to a park while my sisters and I helped my mom. We ended up laughing more then anything, and I think a few patrons walked out of the dressing room, after not wanting to hear my family. But, we did succeed and found not 1 but 2 swimsuits. Yea. Then we went and found the kid's rock climbing with grandpa, I did make it to the top, but did not like having to come back down. We got home called a babysitter, and headed to the "Hunger Games". I really enjoyed it, and thought they did a really tasteful job with what they had to work with. The next day we were up bright and early for the start of the city Easter Egg hunt. One word crazy!!! Then we came home, and had our own family Easter egg hunt. Which is always a big hit with the kids. Then we went to Lins in search of our Easter pictures we colored. We found them and got a prize. We then headed home for a BBQ. Then off to the Easter Car show. The kids had a great time going around saying which one was there favorite. We then hurried home, and got into the pool. Grandpa, kinda warmed it up for us a little bit, and the kids had a blast swimming the day away. The next day we woke up to see what the Easter bunny dropped off, then headed to church. After church we got together with family to eat and play some more. That night the kids came down and had a movie night and sleep over. We woke up Monday to a beautiful day, and decided to take advantage of the pool again. We pretty much swam the day away. What a great and relaxing way to end a long weekend.

Wonderful life!!

Happy Anniversary!!
9 years!!
I forgot to do a little post for my anniversary (which is about a month late). We had a pretty laid back anniversary this year. Some personal things kept us close to home. My mom and dad did however watch the kids for most of the day. We decided to go golf. Well Dean did. I wasn't quiet up for it, but I enjoyed riding, walking, and just being with my best friend. We then hit up dinner @outback I love there chicken on the barbie, and roasted veggies. YUMMY!! We did a little shopping, then headed back to the house with a red box. Dean had to work the next morning so we didn't want to stay up to late. I love him and am so proud of all he does for us. I love being with someone who is always happy, and always makes me want to do better, and try harder. He is a wonderful example to the kids, and I. We are planning a big 10 year anniversary. Dean will almost be done with school. Yea!! So we will celebrate then. I love you honey.
He will probably not like that I snapped a few shots of him while he was playing, but I couldn't resist.

What we live and breath around here!!

Sports (Soccer) this go around
Soccer has been going on for us since the end of February. Dean is coaching Preston's Competition soccer team this year. We have had mixed feeling with the city league/ competitive soccer and weren't real happy with the way the city league was turning out. So this year they made a competitive U8 team. First time they've let U8 play in competitive. It's been a learning experience that is for sure. I think we will stick it out though and follow up to U9 this fall with Preston. It's so nice to have Dean coaching him. I feel like they are learning so much more then he would in just City league. Also the reason I haven't posted sooner is because I didn't want it to be a soccer over load when the girls started a few weeks later. So I officially have enough pictures to post and share.
The girls love there coach. (it was Preston's basketball coach.) He does so well with the little kids, and has such patients. Shaylee is still my little (Go Getter), she does awesome at soccer, and loves to score, and beat all the boys. Addison has her own little competitive side. She is one of the smaller ones so next year she should do just fine. She is right in that big massive circle with the rest of them. She goes after that ball and does a great job. I love watching this age it is so funny...I mean fun. We have so much fun on Saturday's, the girls games get us up by 7:15 so we can be to the field by 7:45. Then it's on to Preston's games somewhere between 9-2. The kids love it and it is always a busy/fun time of year.

P.S. Baseball just started as well so poor Preston goes from one practice to the next, games, scouts, and Piano. He is one busy kids, but doesn't' mind and excels at everything he does (I know it's just a proud mom moment), but I love them all, and am so BLESSED to have these 3 little ones in my life.

Kindergarton here we come!

Addison went in for her 5 year old shots, to get ready for Kindergarten registration. She was pretty excited. She knew she would get a sticker and sucker from the DR, and a special treat from mom. She did awesome with the DR of course they talked to me about her weight. I cant help it if she's a light weight...she always has been. she's at least on the charts at 2%. Height she at 78%. No wonder her pants wont stay on her tall and skinny. She ended up needing 3 shots. When the first one went in she looked right at the Nurse, and went that hurt lady. She didn't care for the other 2 any better, but we made it. She just said ouch a few times, and was good to go. We love her so much and cant believe she is ready for the BIG school. (well at least it's only tell 11:45 so I still get her for most of the day.

Oh Boy!! Pinewood derby time

Oh, boy I forgot how awful...I mean wonderful pinewood derby's can be. My husband and Son were MIA for a few day's, and we went through 2 cars. It was a mess. I mean so much fun. Preston of course went for the Blue, and White with a big "Y" on the front..(I don't know why he would do something like that) ;) His dad was really nervous, he didn't want to take dead last. They didn't they won there first round both sides. Second round was tied up one for us one for them. Third round, we got beat...bad. Preston ended up 4th out of 8 so right in the middle. Dean and Preston already now what they need to tweak and change for next year. So far I'm glad I only have one son I don't think I could handle pinewood derby for years to come.

Spring Break Fun!!

Our Spring break started last weekend for us. Grandpa and Grandma Monson, along with Sydney and Joe's family came down to St. George for a couple of days. We meet up with them Saturday Morning for Preston's Soccer game. The kids love playing at the park right next to the game, and us adults can watch the game. We then headed over to see if we could watch a little of uncle Joe's baseball team play. We couldn't see a thing really, and we were a little cheap and didn't want to pay the 30 bucks to get in. So we stayed for about 15 minutes then moved onto Marie's house to see her cute New baby, and our new cousin Katie. They then all headed to Golden Coral for lunch. Which has now become my kids favorite place to eat, because of the Chocolate fountain, and COTTON CANDY. Yep, this place sure does know how to market for little kids. Mine were in heaven. They then decided it wasn't to cold to go swimming at Aunt Syd's, and Uncle Joe's Hotel. So they spent the next 3 hours playing around in the water, and play ground. For the rest of the week of Spring Break... We made some time for a few OK, a lot of park visits, played with cousins, going to the Lorax movie, Jumping Jacks,
Mini golfing Shopping, Pedicures, and Manicures girls night, sleepoverand a Real Soccer game up North. Overall I think the kids had a blast, and are still trying to catch up on all the sleep they lost this last week.
