Presidents Day!!

{Presidents day…AKA a day with the whole family}

We had such a fun and relaxing Presidents day.  We kinda went low key.  We had been in St. George all weekend with soccer tournaments and we new how crowded it was with all the baseball, soccer tourney's, and the parade of homes.  So we wanted to stay away from that mess for the most part of the day.  We ended up going to the park with Grandpa, Grandma Eves, Stephanie,and Matt and the cousins.  We don't just go to the park to play, we make it into an America Ninja Warrior course.  Everyone was timed, and you couldn't fall or touch the ground.  Even Grandma did it, She pretty much nailed it.  After the warrior course we headed over to play some kick ball, adults against kids.  Boy howdy…I've never seen Dean or Matt throw a ball that hard at their kids.  They were really getting into it.  I was laughing at how funny it was.  I'm not sure who won…probably the kids, we had a few missed catches.  ;)  After kick ball we made it over to the basketball court where things really got heated up.  We played lightning, and had a blast.  We ended the morning with a trip to DQ for lunch and ice-cream.  The weather was amazing for February and we couldn't have asked for a better weekend.  After lunch we put Brecken down for a nap…boy did he need one.  While he was napping Dean took the kids over to the tennis courts, and they played tennis.  We then all went down to look a some more Parade of Homes.  The kids believe it or not love going, and we all have a great time.  I sure do love long weekends, and my husband and kids getting to be home that extra day was so fun and great family time.

Preston with our hello kitty kick ball.  It's the only one Walmart had besides Princess Sofia.  He took the lesser of the two evils he said.

Valentines Day!!!

Addison had asked all week to have her hair done in hearts.  My cousin Lea was down that day so she helped me pull it off.  We had Soccer tournaments all weekend.  Starting Friday afternoon.  So after helping in classes with Valentine parties.  Preston had his first game.  We then played Saturday morning and Saturday afternoon.  The boys did well.  Preston had a good weekend.  We then met up Saturday night with the family for a Valentine play and dinner.  It was really fun to be all together, and the company was great, and the play was fun.  Definitely a hard weekend to celebrate Valentines on, with presidents day being there too, but we fit it in when we could.  I sure do love my Husband, and my kids.

A little bit of everything...

A couple weeks ago we got to have some of our cousins come stay the night.  The kids were so excited.  We decided to get some tacos for the kids for dinner so Dean got two 12 packs of tacos.  There were 7 kids, and between them all there was 2  tacos left over from the 24.  They were hungry little guys.  The next day was 9 o'clock church.  We were up bright and early to get everyone ready.  We even had time to spare.  We had such a great time and love to hang out with our cousins.   The next day I got to babysit for a friend of mine.  She also has 4 kids.  The youngest is just a couple months older then Brecken.  So I had 8 kids at 7am Monday morning that needed to be fed and ready for school.  It actually went rather smoothly, and the day flew by.  Everyone one got along for the most part, except Breck, and his new friend.  Whatever the one had the other wanted.  Other then that it was fun for the kids to have other kids to play with and be around.

We of course had to get our Valentines ready for school at the end of the week, the kids have so many kids in their class.  I had to buy the valentines that carried the most in them.
Brecken and I ventured out and went to story time at the library.  We ready books about Valentines then the kids all made a valentine friend.  Breck wasn't so sure about any of it, but I'm hoping the more we go the more he will get used to being around others besides family.

Breck has always loved Apples..he will eat them and work on them for hours.  The older kids wanted Peanut Butter with their after school snack, so Breck wanted to try.  No more apples…Hello Peanut Butter.  He licked his plate clean, he loved it so much.

Basketball season has come to an End!!

 We are finished with the basketball season.  It was so fun to watch all three games every Saturday.  The girls learned so much this year.  Shaylee, played awesome and has a great shot, plus she is amazing on defense.  Addison, Loved Defense, she stole the ball from the little girls none stop, she too also made lots of baskets this year.  Preston played with the 5-6th graders, so it was his turn to be one of the younger ones.  On his team though he was one of the taller ones.  He had to go up against some big 6th graders.  He did pretty good this year learning a new position (Post).  He so skinny he had to really get in there and fight for the rebounds.  He did though, and he did awesome this year.  He has a great shot, and is awesome with the ball.   Next year can't come soon enough.

Addison turns 8!!

 Addison's Birthday weekend came to a close Sunday.  She turned 8 years old on Sunday the 25th, and was so excited.  We have 9:00 Church, so she opened up her birthday cereal to eat, and a hola hoop too.  She couldn't wait to get home from church to open the rest of the gifts.  She love everything she got and she was so fun to watch open things.  Later, that day we had cake and Ice cream.  She is so loving, always wants to help with Brecken.  She loves Pizza, and Taco's.  Her favorite color is still yellow.  She is in 2nd grade.  She loves to play soccer, and basketball, and be outside playing something.  She is really easy going, and forgiving.  She is so excited to be baptized this next month, and can't wait.

Soccer Tournament

 Preston played in a soccer tournament in Mesquite this last weekend.  Dean and I had to divide and conquer that weekend  We had Addison's Birthday party, and birthday that weekend.  So Friday, because Dean didn't get off work tell right before Preston's game, we sent him down with some friends.  Boy did they have fun.  Then Dean made it down and watched Preston play in his two games, while I stayed behind and had a Birthday party for Addy.   They played at 12:30 Mesquite time, and then again @ 6:30.  So to kill time between games, some of the kids went bowling, and then to Pizza Hut.  I don't know who was more excited to tell me about their day, Preston or Dean.  Dean came home so proud of himself for playing the best game he ever had, and Preston came home to tell me dad has been bragging about how well he did bowling.  He's reliving his glory days of high school and college.  Preston was excited to tell me they had won that night.  Sounds like they had a good time.  Saturday morning, I took Preston down to his game, while Dean stayed and took girls to their last Basketball games.  The team did well overall.  We won 1 and lost 2.
