Dean's Work Party

This last Saturday Dean had a work party.  It was at the new Fiesta Fun.  We were pretty excited to go. We started out with a family game of Bowling.  We had so much fun.  The bowling area is really nice and has bumper pads you can have put up or down for whoever wants them.  They also have this dinosaur that lets little kids roll the ball down as well. (Breck loved that).  The kids all did great, but I ended up winning.  anytime I can break 100 is a good game for me ha ha.  Addison was so nice and let Breck take turns with her to bowl.  After bowling we went into this conference room for Deans work party, where they were doing a giveaway.  Dean won a couple free meals and Drinks to some places in town.  After that was done we headed back out to use up our tokens they gave us.  We ended up winning 761 tickets so the kids went home with plenty of JUNK.  They loved it though.  We had unlimited mini golf, but by the time we got done with everything else we had to get back for the General Women's Conference the girls and I were going too.  It was so much fun to take a break from all our running around, and sports on Saturday, and spend some much needed family time together.  Love this bunch of mine.

School Pictures….not impressed

Preston had his 6th grade pictures taken at school.  We cut his hair and got him all ready.  He said they called him early so his hair still looked good.  That made me laugh.  He got his pictures a few weeks later, and he seems a little upset.  He tells me he had know idea he had that on his shirt.  I ask him what he was talking about, he then shows me his picture.  Bottom left hand corner,  "DON'T BE A POOPER VOTE FOR COOPER WITH A BIG TURD ON THE RIGHT SIDE."  I couldn't help but ask him if he did it on purpose.  That definitely seems like a Preston thing to do.  He loves making people laugh.  He told me NO!!  He completely forgot.  The verdict is still out if I believe him or not.  I couldn't believe the photographer didn't bring it up.  This boy does make us smile everyday, and his personality/ Humor reminds me a lot of myself.  Dad doesn't appreciate it as much as we would hope, but Preston and I still like to get him riled up.  Cant believe how big my boy is looking.  Time sure goes by fast.

Tis the Season

We are in the mist of craziness around here these next two months.  On August 22nd we started Soccer, and football.  We (Dean, and I) are coaching Shaylee's team, but when the other kids have games at the same time it will just be Dean.  We have some sort of practice every night of the week.  Wednesday's the worst with all 3 having Soccer practice, plus a football practice thrown it there.  The kids are having a blast though, and learning so much.  Breck constantly asks to be taken home when we are gone all day to games, but he's a trooper.  He does love that if we can't find a bathroom while at a game he gets to pee on the rocks or grass.  He loves that, such a boy.  Shaylee scored our first goal of the season, and has scored each game since.  We have played three games, won two, and tied this last one.  Preston is doing awesome they won there first game by like 10, then lost there second and third games. They are moving Preston up to mid field which he is really excited about so will see how that goes.  Addison had her first game last week and they won.  She did awesome, or so I heard from dad since I was at Preston's game.    This Saturday could be our worst yet.  Preston has a double header soccer game, Plus a Football game in between those, Shaylee has a game in the middle of all Preston's craziness so her and Dean will be gone, and Addison has a game at the same time as Preston's.  We will be a little out numbered this Saturday, but we lucked out with all of Preston's games being here in Hurricane so it's just a matter of back and forth.  Sure do love these kids, and the people they are becoming.

Labor Day Weekend

 

We had a very fun, and relaxing Labor Day weekend.  Hurricane had their annual Peach Days!!  We went over Friday afternoon and walked around while it was not as crowded.  The kids all had their eyes on some things, so we new we would be heading back after the parade to buy a few things.  Saturday morning we woke up early to get a good seat for the parade.  It was a big parade this year, and took over an hour to get through.  The kids got SO much candy, Frisbees, balls, and so much more.  Brecken has really got this parade thing down, and loves that people throw candy to him if he claps and cheers.  After the parade we headed over to the park for the festivities. Preston, and Addison tried there hand at hatchet throwing.  The both got one to peg into the wood, so whey were pretty excited.  We walked around the booths, and got a few things.  Shaylee got a bracelet.  Addison got a Chinese fan, and Preston did a few of the activities…(mostly because we bought them for Breck, and he wouldn't get on any of the blowups).  I had to get a bag of peaches, and a peach freeze.  It was so good.  Breck left with 3 balloons, so it was a win win for everyone….well except Dean maybe I don't think he ended up with anything.  He did eat all the free dutch oven samples, but that's about it.  After peach days, we spent the day as a family and just hung out.  Monday morning we met up with Uncle Quin, and Aunt Marie's family and headed up to Zion's for the day.  Shaylee had thrown up that night a few times, so I stayed home with her, while the rest of the family headed out.  The had a blast playing in the river.  Even though it was really cold water that didn't stop my kids.  Breck even loved it, and loved to play in it.  When the family got home we had a BBQ and enjoyed each other's company.  Such a fun and relaxing weekend.

Mother Daughter Dates (Activity days)

 The girls and I had a very fun time at our annual mother daughter activity days date.  I am in activity days and was over it.  The girls were so great about me needing to be everywhere that night, and were patient with me while I got everyone else situated then got to them.  We had a light buffet, and had a spa night.  We gave each other manicures, made a journal for each other, and did each other's make up BLIND folded.  The girls loved this one.  After the makeup you could go over to our photo booth and take some pictures together in all your glory.  I sure do have the best girls.  The were so willing to come early and set up, stay after and clean up, and help me with everything.  They truly are the BEST, and I love them so much!!!

Lost Teeth...

Addison let me know I was slacking on documenting about all the teeth she has lost.  I admit we've been slackers after the first few teeth we kinda forget.  Addison is finally starting to lose her teeth.  She lost 2 in one day from each other, then she lost this one.  She was excited to get her money from the tooth fairy.  I told her to save her money from the tooth fairy to pay for braces she is going to need later on in life.  she didn't think I was to funny, but out of all my kids so far her teeth are the worst at fitting in her little mouth.  We sure lover her and her toothless grins
