Fall Break part 2

After the Pumpkin patch we did a little shopping.  We then met up with Grandma and Grandpa Monson and Some cousins to go watch a Jazz scrimmage/Practice.  Dean did this with his Dad growing up and he was so excited to share this experience with Preston and the kids.  Preston was in heaven.  The girls were actually in heaven as well.  they kept taking pictures of all the HOT players they likes.  (OH GEEZ).  We had fun, and then ended up leaving so we could get home to watch some of the BYU game.  Dad had recorded it so they could watch it from the first.

While the boys were out watching football we found the girls in Grandma and Grandpas bed watching girls shows, as they put it.  The next day we got up and headed out to do some shopping.  My kids were all in need of some good winter clothes, and shoes.  After shopping the family went ice skating with grandma and the Hansen cousins again.  They sure have enjoyed Ice skating the few times they have been.  I never went once growing up so they surpassed me in this sport as well.  They all had fun. After ice skating we all went out to eat dinner at Texas Roadhouse.  We of course ate way to many rolls, Peanuts, and appetizers, that by the time the food arrived I was full.  We had a great evening then headed back to watch the Utah football game.  Yes, this is what my weekends consist of.  Soccer games, and football.  We headed home after a wonderful Breakfast from Grandma Sunday morning.  It was good to see them for a couple days, and hang out with cousins.  We sure do love visiting with them , and can't wait for Thanksgiving.

Fall Break part 1!!!

We started our fall Break off going up North.  We drove to Lehi to use our passes of all passes at their Lehi location.  We didn't stay long, because we were all hungry and wanted to get on our way, but we hit up a few holes on the mini golf, and then did a few rides.  We can't to wait to get up there again and use our passes more.  Brecken was so excited to go on the airplane ride and couldn't stop smiling.  The girls were a OK going with him, but wouldn't have been caught dead in this if he didn't ride.

While the kids were waiting in line for the go carts Dean took Breck on the merry go round.  I couldn't watch for to long, it makes me sick, but I did snag some picture of them.  After the rides we headed up to Grandpa and Grandma Monson's.  They weren't going to be home until Friday afternoon, so the kids were pretty sad we had to stay at their house without them.   We woke up Friday morning and new we wanted to go back to the J&J Nursery pumpkin patch we did last year.  It didn't open until 11, but we had nothing else to do so ended up getting there to walk around, and things around 10:15.  We took some pictures with their cute cut outs, then put in our guess for how big their biggest pumpkin was.  I decided I would go start standing in line while dean and the kids looked through the store.  Well by 10:30,  there was enough of us there to go out to the patch.  So they let us get on our hayride a half hour early and head out.  We were so excited.  The lines there can get so long.  They don't make you pay to do this, or to get a pumpkin, all they ask is that you donate a canned item for each person with you.  We headed out and I think Shaylee was our first person to spot her pumpkin.  Brecken kept tripping over all the vines, and things so Dean took him while I helped Preston find his.  Addison found hers next then we all found one for Breck.  Dean and I hurry and found ours and we were back on the hayride.  When we came back to the front of the store, there were hundred in line.  It went past all there barricades and things they had up and out into their parking lot.  It was just after 11 (when they opened).  So we were feeling really lucky we had got everything done and were getting ready to leave just as everyone else was showing up.  While Dean and Preston loaded the Pumpkins the girls and I took Breck over to do a fish pond. I gave all the kids a 1$ to go do with as they wanted  He was so excited to go fish and was even more excited to get a prize, and apparently Addison was excited as well, because that's what she chose to use her money on as well.  Shaylee went for the cotton candy and Preston got a few taffy taffy ropes.  All in all we had a great time, and love going up north during fall Break to get a little piece of fall weather.

Tackle Football

Preston did tackle football this year in the mix of Soccer.  Since we didn't know we were going to be doing both, Preston signed up late for football.  They made a team for all the players that were last to sign up, and we became the 3rd football team for that age group in Hurricane.  We struggled, and they had Preston playing on the line, and places the poor boy shouldn't be, but we were desperate.  He liked it though and I think he want to try again next year.  So will see how it goes.  He is a really busy boy.  Football Monday's, Scout and Piano Tuesday's, Soccer and Football Wednesdays, Thursday Football, and Soccer Friday.  With Football games either during the week or on a Saturday with his Soccer games.  He makes me tired.

Scout camp, and Girls Date.

Dean and Preston had a scout day camp on a Friday this year.  They had to go from 4-9.  So us girls…and Breck decided to head out on the town.  We ended up at the mall, go figure.  The kids love going to Barns and Noble, and just reading and Breck playing.  The girls and I did some shopping, then we decided to eat at the Pizza Pie Cafe.  We left full.  After we were done we headed home to snuggle in for the night and watch a Halloween movie together.  I love spending time with the girls.  Maybe next time we can talk dad into taking Breck too. lol.
