Harlem Globetrotters

We had the opportunity to go to a Harlem Globetrotters game that was here in St. George.  We went with the Monson side of the family that lives down here.  Eric and Marie family, Dani and Kai.  It was a lot of fun.  Preston really got into it, and loves everything about it.  He couldn't believe they had a girl on the team.  She was awesome by the way.  We of course had to buy a ball at half time to, so that we could take it down on the court afterwards, and have them all sign it.  We got everyone of them to sign the ball and the kids were in heaven.

Breck's First Dentist Trip

We had the Dentist this first week in February.  The last time we went to the dentist I brought Breck back to just watch and see me and the kids so he could get an idea what it would be like.  We prepped him a couple days before we wen't and explained what would take place.  He was the last one to go.  He did AMAZING.  I had to sit by him, but I would have anyway.  We turned on a show for him, and he obeyed and did everything the hygienist, and dentist asked him to do.  He of course had a worried look on his face so the pictures all look like he was scared, and he could of been, but he was brave and did it anyway.  He opened his mouth while they used the electric cleaner, he got some water,  they counted his teeth looked at them with a mirror, and he was great.  He was really excited when he got to choose a new toothbrush, and pick from the treasure box.  He is getting so big, and adapting to situations a lot better.  He begs to go to nursery now, and does well away from me.  I sure do love this little boy of mine.  As for the rest of us we are all cavity free and happy at this house.  Addison whoever has a consultation with an orthodontist.  We knew it would be coming.  The girl just doesn't have any room in that mouth for teeth.  Will see how that goes…To Be Continued.

Snowman Building in Southern Utah

We got snow Monday morning, Feb 1st here in Southern Utah.  Not a ton, but the most this last year. I woke up the kids, and asked them if they wanted to build a snowman.  They were all so excited.  I told Preston he could be late to school, and he could play in the snow.  Of course that wasn't an option.  He did not want to be late. (I knew he wouldn't.   He wanted to play in the snow so bad, but when it came to being late that wasnt an option.)  So Dean took Preston to school at 7:30, and we all were outside playing in the snow.  Aunt Stephanie was down so we called her bright and early and she headed over.  Then Lisa called, and so she headed over.  It was kinda fun to have both sisters at my house in less then 5 minutes.  We had so much fun playing in the snow.  Its so nice when you have the right clothing to play in the snow.  Breck was the only one who cried, because his gloves kept falling off.  They were a little big.  Other then that we had a blast, and even made it on time to school for the girls.  The snow was of course gone by the time they got home that day, and Mr. Snowman had fallen over, but we enjoyed it for the few hours we has it.

End of Basketball season

Another basketball season has come to an end.  The kids had a great season.  Its was so nice and fun to have Addison and Shaylee on the same team again.  The girls did great, they love playing together, and both improved so much this year.  Addison had baskets every game and was a GREAT defender.  If coach wanted the best player guarded on the other team, Addy was her man.  Shaylee was the top scorer, plus great defender she too was always put with the best girls from the other team.  Over all the girls had a Great year, and loved playing.  Dean help assistant coach Preston's team.  They only lost one game the whole season, and were a really good team.  Preston had to learn to adjust to post again this year.  He doesn't know how he feels about that since his true love is guard, and as he gets older that will be his permanent spot I'm sure.  He loved the season and it was a great learning year for him.  He was also excited to be asked to play on a competition team.  They didn't hold tryouts they just took they just watched who they wanted this season, and Preston was one of their picks.  He is beyond excited.  Mom and dad…well we are too, just trying to figure out how to juggle competitive soccer, and basketball all in the same season.  Should be interesting.  With that said…basketball got over, and they all started Soccer practice this last week.  We just can't seem to catch a breather..but we love it and them.  They are great kids.
