Landon's 1st month.

Landon is another spitter…enough said.  With the spitting comes gas and belly issues.  When we go in for the 2 month check up will see about reflex.  I know he has it all my babies do, but not much can be done about it.  We have him sleep inclined and that has helped with night time a little.  He still spits, but he doesn't drowned in it, and choke on it every night.  He has a little nose just like Shaylee, and Brecken did.  I know it's to early to tell, but his eyes should be blue, they look blue already.  He loves the noise of dryers, fans, and water.  He loves laying by the fire, and being in the warm bath.  He sleeps pretty good for a month old.  We get a good stretch out of him the first go around.  We put him to bed about 9:00, and he wakes up around 3-4.  Sometimes 2.  Then he starts to get gassy, and grunts and make noise, but still sleeps around 5 or 6.  I usually feed him again between 6-7:30.  Don't get me wrong, some nights aren't always that great.  Last night he had a horrible night, and was grunting from like 11 on all night long.  He woke up at 12:30, and then 2 more times, plus spitting, pooping, and making all sorts of noises….it was his worse night to date.  Yuck.  Over all though I can't complain to much.  He eats every 3 hours, and has figured out he usually gets feed when he is waking from a nap or sleep, so if he doesn't eat right when he wakes up he gets really mad fast.  I think I got a couple smiles out of him around 5 weeks so a little after his month mark, but have yet to get another one.  All the kids love him, but don't care for his crying so much.  Brecken has adjusted well to a new baby, and does well in taking matters into his own hands when mom can't help him out right away.  He has a chair he pushes around the house to get what he needs.  He can make himself lunch, he gets himself drinks, and all sorts of snacks, and goodness while I'm feeding.  He is a good boy though, and he loves his new little brother.  He is a big helper and hates to hear Landon cry.  He runs, and finds blankets, burp rags, and Binky's when Landon is upset.

Piano recital 2016

 The kids had there yearly Piano recital Nov 14th.  Shaylee got sick the day before so she ended up staying home and not being able to preform.  We'll get her to do a recital for us as home so I can get a video and picture.  Preston and Addison did great and I'm so proud of them for being able to preform in front of people.  I would make myself so sick having to do this same thing when I was a kid.  They sure are picking up on piano and hope they continue to stick with it.

Shaylees Veterans day program

 The 5th grade class always puts on a veterans day program.  Its about a 30 minute program and they sing some great songs, and a handful of kids narrate the program.  Shaylee was chosen to be a narrator and did a great job making eye contact and speaking loud and slow on all her parts.  Every time I go to these it brings tears to my eyes.  Great job Shaylee

Su Real Soccer Fall 2016

We had a great Fall soccer season.  The 3 oldest kids were all on SU Real Soccer club teams.  Addison's first year, and she played up a year with 06' kids, since they didn't have enough kids to make an 07' team.  They started out a little rough, first year playing together.  By the end of the season they were right in the middle of the pack.  I think there were 11 teams and they took 5 or 6th.  She had a great year, and learned a lot.  Shaylee's team played up a year with the 05' year.  Our whole team is young 06', but we had 3 girls that were 05' so we had to play them all up a year.  That didn't stop us though, and we had a great season.  The girls really worked hard, and Dean was a great coach, Plus we had some good assistant coaches this year.  We ended the season losing by 1 point to the cedar team.  We got second place medals, and we were so excited.   Preston also had to play up a year, but it was more like two for him since he is the last day in the year birthday.  It was a hard year for the boys, they had a new coach, new team, and had to play up against boys 2 years older then them, but they held their heads high and played as best as they could.  Preston hurt his arm the last 3 games of the season, but he went and set on the sidelines and cheered on his team.  Sure do love all the groups of kids my kids get to play with.  We live in such a great town with great families.  We are excited for the winter break, before we have to start back up in the spring.

Coming home/ the Aftermath / and Dean's Birthday

As told from the last post we came home Friday the 21st.  We got home about 2:30.  I was sore but feeling alright.  We found out Landon didn't quiet pass his Jaundice test so we would need to go to labs Saturday morning, which was also Dean's birthday.  The kids couldn't get enough of Landon and I had to set a timer so they would all get a turn and so Landon could also get a break.  Saturday morning came.  It was Dean's Birthday!!   I made Dean a birthday breakfast, and the kids gave dad all his presents.  We then hurried off to get Landon's blood draw before the 48 hours were up.  He was a champ, but didn't pass again, so we knew we would be coming back Monday morning again for another draw.  Monday he also had a dr. checkup and circumcision. Saturday morning in all the hustle I started to get a pretty good headache.  By lunch time I had taken medicine and was laying down.  Dean had to take the kids to soccer and coach that afternoon and I just couldn't go.  That night I was still sick with a headache even with strong post pregnancy medicine.  As long as I layer down I was fine.  We had Matt and Marci come and visit Saturday morning.  By Sunday my head was still killing medicine wouldn't touch it, and when I stood up I could barely open my eyes. Dani and Kai came to see the new cousin as well.  Sunday evening I had Dean and my dad give Landon and I a blessing.  Monday I called down to the hospital because I had been reading about a headache you can get from having an epidural.  They only thing to cure it was to go back in and have them reinsert the epidural and take blood from you pump it back into your spine.  So Monday night around 6:30 dean and I headed down to the hospital with Landon.  Monday morning however I still had to be a mom and get kids off to school, take Landon in for his next Lab, and Dr apt to get circumcised.  Landon didn't pass his labs again which meant I had to go back again in 48 hours for more blood draws.  Anyway back to Monday night.  They did the procedure and 2 1/2 hours later we were heading home.  I was really sore and aching from the procedure, but the headache was gone as soon as they set me up.  I was a happy camper.  I had to be down for 24 hours not doing to much to make sure I didn't re open the wound, but I had planned family pictures for Tuesday, just around the house as well as some newborns for Landon.  Everything went okay for such a chaotic time, and we got through it.  Landon finally passed his jaundice testing Wednesday.  I should say it was going up slower so they figured it would heal by itself.  No more lab work and foot pricks.  By Thursday we had no more Dr's or Labs or so I thought…Preston decided to get hurt on a motorcycle.  He tried a jump and fell off the motorcycle on his hand.  We went in for x rays the next day and they came back not quiet sure…there was some swelling around some areas they wanted to check so we have to do the waiting game and see what happens.  So Landon had made it through his first week of life, as well as the family.  So excited everything turned out for Landon and I.
