General Conference Weekend

We started General conference weekend off with some praying and listening.  On Saturday in between conference we did yard work and washed some cars then came back in a finished up the second half.  We then went down to Sweet-rolled taco's and got some ice cream to listen to the night session together.  This year they had everyone 11 and up tone in to the 6-8 session.  Sunday morning I woke up and started on Homemade Cinnamon rolls.  They were a hit and made way to many.  They were eaten over the course of a few days.  The talks were amazing and the spirit strong.  We were asked to fast again this coming Friday (good Friday) before easter to help control and stop the spreading of this pandemic.  We love conference and love our prophet Russel M. Nelson.

Sweet Rolled Love!!

We've been trying to support The ice cream store each week.  We usually go on a weekend and enjoy sitting outside while no one is around and eating our ice-cream.  Some weeks we take it to go.  Either way we love us some sweet-rolled taco's.

Homemade Pretzel bites.

Addison tried her hand at homemade pretzel bites.  She loved watching the dough rise from the yeast and the whole process really.  She did a great job.  We made some of them with butter and salt, and some we added sugar and cinnamon.  Next time we will try our hand at dips to dip in.  The kids all said they tasted just like Pretzel Maker in the mall...and they smelled like it too.  Yummy.

Grandpa's BEE'S

Uncle Matt has got bees the last couple years, and grandpa Eves finally  joined.  The Bees arrived and 2 days later the queen had died. lol.  Grandpa put in an order for a new queen who should be here any day.  In the mean time Landon has become obsessed with BEE's and wants to go over to grandpa's and check them out.  We set in the backyard and don't get too close to grandpa and grandma and visit while my kids hit golf balls and Landon watches the bees.  In these pictures uncle Matt and Grandpa are smoking out the bees so they can check on the Queen and hive.

Prom ask/answer

The weekend before spring break Preston and his friends decided to ask some girls to prom on April 20th.  We made a poster that said "What is your "STANCE"on going to prom with me...Hope you'll "JUST DO IT", we put stance sock and a Nike water bottle on the poster.  He was asking  Brielle Hayes.  Well then the Covid 19 hit and school has been canceled tell May 1st and then they will re-access (we probably wont go back) They cancelled all spring sports, and prom was moved to May sometime, if that even happens.  So Brielle answered back a couple weeks later and we all got a good kick out of it.  Here is to hoping the kids get to have one last school dance before summer hits.

Landon

I  made brownies for our dessert on the last Sunday in March Fast Sunday.  (Since conference is the next week)We were all fasting like the prophet asked for help with the Coronavirus.  Landon of course was not fasting so he was excited he didn't have to share the left over brownie batter and spoon.  He ate every last bite and did great even with his Sunday white shirt on.  Cant say I  wasn't jealous while he was eating that chocolate, but it was good later when we were able to eat it as a brownie.

Keeping ourselves Entertained

Some of these first pictures were still of our Spring Break Quarantine, where it rained everyday and we were stuck inside.  So we learned to make rolls, sharpened all the colored pencils...all 150 of them.  Had the cousins over, made bracelets, hair ties, and let grandpa take us for some motorcycle rides.  The weather has been helping with us being able to get outside so Landon has been liking hitting the tennis ball over and over to me while I  throw it to him.  While I  mowed the law I  put the tramp up by the hoop and the boys have been having a blast playing slam dunk.  They love that they can reach the hoop we've left it up there through the week.
