Tie Dye

So Tie Dye and bleaching are really in right now.  We had the idea to spend the morning bleaching and coloring some shirts.  It was a blast and the kids loved it.  Best idea ever really.  Everyone's turned out so cute.  The bleached ones of the boys turned out great.  The lighter neon colors of the girls were harder to tell.  The tie dyes we did were for the 4th of july.  The boys did different colored blues, and the girls did red, white and blue.

Shaylee's kids camp.

For the last 3 years Shaylee and her friends have done a summer kids camp to earn some money.  This years kids camp was at my house and our neighbor and friend Halle's house across the street.  The girls planned and worked so hard and had their best year yet.  They did 4 days. Craft day, Cooking day, Game Day, and Water day.  The kids all had a blast and the girls were awesome about setting up and cleaning up.

Bee's

Uncle Matt has had Bees for awhile, and finally talked my dad into getting some.  They love them and both their hives are doing awesome.  With all the talk about bee's Landon has taken an interest in them and talks to his "G" bud...(Uncle Matt), about them all the time.  So Grandpa and Matt bought Landon his own hive.  I told them I  wanted nothing to do with the bees and they would have to be the ones to come check on them and do all the stuff you have to do.  The are obsessed with the bees and I will often times find Dean sitting out on the rock just watching them for hours.

Landon's Bump on the head

It was a Saturday morning and I  had just finished up my workout and Dean was almost done with his.  I was walking around the house and yard looking at the bees.  As I came to go back inside Addison runs out and says Landon got hit on the head and is bleeding everywhere.  I go inside and Dean is trying to clean him up and help him and as I see the cut we both knew we better take him into instacare. Dean let me know that as he was lifting weights Landon came around the corner of the garage and ran right into deans weights he was pulling up and down.  He landed flat on his back and then started crying. When we got to the Instacare we were told with the Pandemic they were only going to allow one of us back with him, but since it wasn't to busy they let us both go back; after taking out temperature and having us sanitize.  Once back the Dr told us that glueing would look the best and clean up the cut better then stitches.  So we held him down as he got so numbing gel to glue his cut closed.  He was so brave and he did awesome.  Afterwards he got to put a token in the toy slot and get a toy.  He chose a bouncy ball.  He was a trooper and was back to his crazy self within an hour.  Something tells me this won't be the last instacare visit with this crazy guy.

Monson Cousin Time

We were able to see some of our Monson cousins this summer.  Grandma Monson came down with the Hansen crew and we had a great time...so much fun in fact I  didn't get tons of pictures.  The first day they came some of the kids went cliff jumping at sand hollow, and then came to our house to eat lunch.  That night we meet up with Quin and Dani at Sand Hollow and they brought out their boat and Jet ski for all of us to have fun.  Well about 20 minutes into the lake fun Preston, Shaylee, and Allie were being towed in by uncle Quin.  They had got the rope stuck, we then spent the rest of the night trying to get it untangled.  It started to get dark and so we towed it back up to the dock and took it back to quins house where dean and Preston worked on getting it undone.  They came home around midnight saying they had got it all untangled and fixed.  That sure was an adventure.  Preston and Dean took turns unwinding the rope while Marie, Dani, myself, and then Eric held the jet ski on its side.  It was hard work.  The kids all had fun though playing with cousins.  We meet up with all the cousins the next day at Dani's parents house to swim.  The water was warm, and the clouds in the ski made it bearable to be outside.  After swimming we took Kia and headed home to let him have a sleep-over with Brecken.  They had a blast and have so much in common.  We sure do love our Monson crew and were glad we got to spend time with them during this strange pandemic.

Friends and the Lake

I  took the girls and the younger boys to the lake this last week.  We had an adventure putting the Kayaks and paddleboards on and off the car, but we had fun and learned a new skill.  Landon loves playing in the sand on the beach.  He spends hours doing it.  Brecken was back and forth with the girls and the beach.  The girls loved taking the kayaks and paddleboards out and staying out there for awhile.  It was hot that day, and the sand burned your feet if they weren't wet or in shoes.  It was also really packed on the shore.  Not so much boats, but the shore was full of people.
