Broadway Magic 2022

Broadway magic this year was fun.  Preston was in 2 shows, and Brecken got recruited to be in a boy one with some friends.  Brecken had practice for a month before, and really learned the moves really well.  There little dance and costume were so fun.  Preston did a dance with exect council and then one with senior class.  I cant believe all the lasts we've been experiencing with Preston.  It's so bittersweet.

 

Spring Fun Run and End of Soccer

Brecken had his School Spring fun run and I swear it was on the windiest day of the year.  These poor kids never get the good weather.  Brecken ran the whole time and ended up qualifying for a Pizza party for being having one of the most laps in his class.  He is such a sweet boy and I love how excited he still gets to see me and smile and hugs he always gives.  Landon and I had our last soccer game of the season and ended with the win.  Landon scored 5 goals so I set him out so others could have a turn.  He is such a fun player and fun to watch.  

 

Sweet Uncle Ray

 We lost my Uncle Ray around spring break time.  It was a little bit sudden as they had just moved him to a care facility two days before, but then it seemed he just gave up. I grew up living next to him so I would say he was one of my closer uncles.  He was always willing to stop and help others, looking for ways to serve and always would greet me with a big hug.   I sure do love this family of mine and am grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ and the knowledge that we can be together again after death.

Spring Golf Team

Shaylee and her best friend Ana decided to try out for the golf team this year.  They both made it and have already taken a liking to it.  Shaylee actually played in her first tournament the 2nd one in.  She was so nervous and excited.  i came and walked with her to help ease her nerves, but I was a ball of nerves as well.  She did great for only playing golf a couple weeks and I'm excited to see her grow and learn.  All my family is excited for her and have been such a big help and support teaching her on short notice.  

 

Braces are off.

Brecken got his first round of braces off this spring.  He has had them on for over 2 years.  We got them on in first grade and have had them tell third.  He did so great with them and didn't want them to come off.  He has to lose most of his baby teeth for his next set to go on.  So we have about 3 years without them on then we will start back up again.  He had a really bad underbite as well as a small mouth and teeth couldn't fit.  So we fixed all that and will enjoy no braces or payments for the next little while.  I've had kids in braces for the last 7 years. so it's a  nice little break.
