Hollis Leaves for his mission.

Hollis is one of Preston's close friends.  He was there for all the boys farewell, talks, Home MTC, and at the airport when they left.  So we felt it only fair to have all the boys there for when he left the airport.  We all got up bright and early 4:45 to get to the airport by 5:30.  We. had are sons heads with us for a good photo op.  Hollis was so excited to see all of us and so surprised.  He loved it and loved the. heads. He heads to Arizona after the Provo MTC.  So excited for all these boys.

 

Happenings from Winter Break

 We had a fun winter break and I mentioned most of it.  This is just a little snippet of extras we did during the break.  Addison went snowboarding with cousins a couple times. Dean and I  did a states puzzle.....it was so hard.  No straight sides, and the pieces were so tiny.  it had 1,000 pieces.  Hardest puzzle I've done.  We went hot tubbing in grandpas hot tub, and played golf a bunch.  Over all we had a fun filled break with lots of rain in the valley and snow on the mountains.

Transfer Day

Preston has been in his first area (Ciudad del Este) since he got to paraguay.  On Jan 2nd he was called to a new area with a new companion.  He was sad to leave behind his friends he had made in his old area, but so excited to learn about a new area and meet new people.  Preston had a long 8 1/2 hour bus ride to get from his area of Ciudad del Este, to the mission home of Asuncion.  He was transferred to Guarambare. His new Companion is an Elder Carey.  He has been out almost a year in a month.  Since Preston was traveling all that day we didn't have great service so we didn't get to talk to him very long.  We also didn't get an email from him that day.  He sounds good a little nervous for his first move, but excited at the same time. 

 

Big Shots with the Monson Crew

We got together with the Lemons and Monson's to hit up Big Shots golf.  We had a great time being with everyone.  It was a little cold and we realized we didn't have our heater working.  once that started working it helped a little bit. Landon Killed us all and always seems to get the best score.  He loves to hit it far and hard.  Addison took care of all the other kids on the first bay while quin, dani, marie, eric, and mya played on the second bay and then Dean, Shaylee, Allie, Landon and I took the 3rd bay.  We had a ton of fun and were glad we got to hang out with everyone before school started back up.
