Chinese New Year Program

The Boys elementary school had their annual Chinese new years program.  Brecken and Landon were both in it.  Grandma Steph and Grandpa  came to see them. They had their chinese parade through the halls first and they got to show off their dragons they made. for the program First graders were first and Landon did such a great job.  He got into the songs and actions so much and it made us all smile.  He rocked it.  Breckens group being 5th grade was last.  They did 2 songs one of which Brecken got to play the drums and did a great job.  Both boys were so excited to find out they got Handles Ice Cream afterwards that Landon ran over to grab some before I  could get a picture with Grandma and Steph.  It's fun watching these boys learn another language and try and talk to each other. Brecken and the older girls actually talk quite a bit in chinese, I  think to annoy me and talk about me since I  cant understand them.

 

Jan 30th-Feb5th

Preston and his comp Eder Torgy were asked to teach at the leadership conference this week.  Preston couldn't figure out why since he had been so sick, and hadn't been out doing to much, but then thought maybe president gave them this assignment to help them stay busy and not be bored inside.  Preston just hoped he could stay up teaching the whole time and wouldn't get sick.  They did a great job and you can tell in a couple pictures Preston was a little wore out and needed to sit, but the lord blessed him to be able to make it through that day and he did awesome.  Also, this last week was the first time Preston felt up to going out for P day.   A few symptoms of diseases over there keep coming back even though the test came back negative that he didn't have it.  But, the President's wife thinks Preston's test came back wrong especially since these symptoms keep coming back and won't go away.  His rash is one of the symptoms and its all over his body which he says kind of burns and hurts.  He is on the mend we do believe though and are praying for continued health from here on out.   

 

Getting older

My birthday was on a Sunday so Dean took me to celebrate Saturday evening.  I  told him I  would like a pedicure this time around and asked if he would get one with me.  He was not super excited about it, but agreed non the less.  We had a great time and he ended up loving it but also hating being ticklish.  We then went to dinner at Outback Steakhouse. (my favorite). Afterwards we came home and watched a movie with the boys while the girls were out.  Sunday I was spoiled with some wonderful gifts and the boys were so excited because this year Dean let them pick me out a gift they could give.  (it was snacks, but still). I  had to teach sunbeams that day, but after church we went to my mom's for dinner.  They made my favorite of chicken and mash potatoes, as well as cake and Ice cream.  Afterwards Preston was able to call and wish me happy birthday.  He seemed to be getting better and I  loved talking to him. I still can't believe I'm in my 40's (42) I  remember thinking how old that was when I  was younger now I  feel like I'm in my prime. lol. I  sure do have the best husband.  He is always looking for ways to serve me and I  love him and my family so much. Here's to another great year.

 

Walking the Sheep

Addison nad breckens sheeps have gotten a lot better with walking since our first time.  Addison's still struggles from time to time, but overall its getting better each day.  On this day they decided to do an extira long walk and walked their sheep up to Grandpa and Grandma Eves house.  They were waiting outside as they walked up the hill.  Our kids love that grandpa has taken an interest in their sheep and grandma loves watching them.  The sheep were huffing and puffing when they got to grandpas so they gave then some water and let them rest and then headed back to the pins.
