Winter break Happenings

After new years we still had most of the week ahead of us with everyone still off.  We had Ortho appointments for all the boys.  Landon to check on his expander and headgear, Preston to get his last set of invisalign, and Brecken to get his last set of braces on.  He was really excited for this day.  He loves braces.  We then took the boys to the driving range and even though the sun went behind clouds and it was later in the day it wasn't too bad and the boys all had fun while the girls had to work. 

 

New Years Shooting Range

We were able to go out shooting again.  The older kids were bummed they didn't get to go last time so we found a day everyone could go and it landed on New years day.  We brought some more things to shoot this time and targets with each of the kids names on it so they could see and practice.  We shot for a long while and everyone tired the guns they wanted to and then we pulled out the clay pigeons.  Our favorite.  We love this.  Brecken and Landon don't do this one because they cant hold the gun up very well but I  think last time we got Brecken up there.  Addison took a turn, Shaylee did, and Preston.  I  know Preston hit a few, I  got mine and Dean hit all his as well.  Sure do love that my mom and dad take the time to do these things with us.  I  love them and the memories we make with them. 

 

New years eve

New Years Eve we got all ready and headed to the airport to welcome home our friend Hollis.  Preston has been friends with these boys for a long time and it was fun to see them back together.  All the families of the boys came to welcome him home since he was the last one to go and come back.  It was fun to talk and visit with everyone.  The older kids had plans for New Years Eve so It was just Dean I and the boys.  We did get to eat dinner with everyone before they all left around 9:00.  We ordered Jimmy Johns, made wingers wing sauce and had wings and dips, cheese crackers, summer sausage all the things.  We were so stuffed.  We then went over to visit my parents and steph.  Lisa and Devin were there and we talked and hung out with them.  We made it home around 10:00 and put on a movie and played the switch.  I  went into my room around 11:00 to read but stayed up to hear the kids ring in the new year. 2025.  I  can't believe it.  We hope this next year is  filled with more love, adventure and blessings.
