Let the Christmas Festivities begin. We started our December off with the first Sunday dedicated to Candy making. I personally love this tradition and I hope to carry it on into my family. The kids all love it and love to get involved. We had so many helpers this year it was so fun. We made 3 batches of Caramels, 2 batches of Fudge, 2 batches of toffee, and I think that was it. We didn't burn or under cook anything and had it all done and cleaned up in under 2 hours. We are getting so good at this. We missed Shaylee, but were glad to have so many others there. You won't see my boys in these pictures. The kitchen was full, plus Brecken and Landon just wanted to play while Dean and Preston watched the football game.

Our Annual Elf Breakfast
Our Elf Hermey finally showed up...the boys were getting worried, but I reminded them he shows up the first Sunday in December. He brought us our Breakfast as well as our family Christmas PJ's and some Christmas books for the year. We are getting quiet the collection of Christmas books and its fun to watch the boys get them out every year and read them all. Preston was a good sport and let the boys wake him up so they could open the gifts from Hermey. We missed Addison and Shaylee, but Addison got her matching PJ's later that day and Shaylee had hers with her companion in the mail.

Christmas shopping and football
On our first Saturday in December we had to watch our BYU in the big 12 championship game. It started out really good and we were all stoked. It took a turn pretty quickly after and we ended up losing tp texas tech. The only team we lost to this year. They did get a good bowl game (poptart bowl). After football we headed down and met Addison to shop for our sibling gifts. Addison and I talked Landon into setting on Santa's lap...he did not want to this year. Made me sad. I think the kids all found each other something in the mall so we should be all squared away for that one. After shopping we went out to eat.

Ginch ward Christmas party
We had our ward Christmas party at the first of December. It was Whoville/Grinch theme. We had such a great turn out. They asked you to dress up like a who but we chose to wear Christmas PJ's. Landon and Dean built a gingerbread house while Brecken and I teamed up together. With the limited sources we had I think we did pretty great. Even though Brecken kept getting made at me for eating all the decorations (the little gumballs). I can't help myself I love gumballs. After decorating we had some dinner and then the grinch came in and tlaked to us about how we need to have our hearts grow bigger to serve this holiday season. We had fun with all our ward members.
Math Student of the Month
Brecken got Math Student of the month for December. He was pretty excited because he loves his math teacher. He has really grown to love math and its all because of the teachers he has had the last couple of years. I love it. since i'm horrible at math. He got a hershey's candy bar with it and a lunch. So proud of all his hard work he is doing in school.

Girls night Christmas Addition.
Had another girls night. This one was at Lisa's house and it was so much fun. Just talking and being with other women just gives you that little bit of something you didn't know you were missing. Lisa did a beautiful table and the decorating was amazing. We all had to wear a white shirt when we came and she had us choose a bag when we got there. They were all full of Christmas PJ's. We all changed and then sat down to some potato cheese soup and rolls. So yummy. As well as their famous slush mixture the Graff's make. After dinner she had us to a little peppermint body scrub activity and it was so much fun and smelt so good. Such a fun night with girls that I adore and look up to. Can't wait for the next get together.

Hurricane Tree lighting FHE
Hurricane did its big Christmas Tree lighting and activities, but Dean was late coming home and we didn't want to go without him. We rushed over before it was over and I had Dean snag some pictures of the boys by the tree. This is the best we got. The boys are all blurry I guess that's the last time I ask dean to take the pictures. After the tree lights we went and got the boys iceberg shakes and came home and watched a Christmas movie. I'm so excited for this holiday season and getting to enjoy it all with my family.
