Fall Break

Sleepy Hallow Halloween!
taking the hay ride in to the farm.

One night of our Fall Break we went to the Sleepy Hallow Halloween Farm and Corn Maze.  The fun thing about this is it's at the end of our neighborhood.  We had fun with Grandma and Grandpa...thanks for coming.
The family did the mini corn maze.

Grandpa bought everyone a s'more kit, and also some hot chocolate.  We roasted our s'mores around their camp fire.

We also had ourselves a free horse ride.  First time Preston has been on a horse.  He didn't know if he wanted to, but ended up getting on, and liked it.
We had a fun night, looking at all the farm animals, and playing on the playhouse.  The kids and I also went to a couple parks, and had a picnic.  We also did some Fiesta Fun.  Addison won the jackpot in one of the games, so the kids were all excited they got to get a few things each.  Over all it was a very low key Fall Break, but it was fun being with the family.

Birthday Boy!!!

I have to give a short shout out to my Birthday Guy!!!  Who really doesn't get a birthday today.  He had to work last night, so he slept all day, then got up and did homework, and went up to the Dr.  for some extra homework, then onto work for the night again.  He does so much.  We did get him this morning to open his presents.  Then made his favorite cake, and ate it when he woke up.  Then got him a yummy dinner.  So we will try and celebrate later this week, with a date night.  But I love you Dean, and Happy Birthday.  Thank you for making me your wife.

It's my own FAULT!!!

Sighed all the kids up for Soccer.  It was nice because last year the girl's were both on the same team, same age division.  This year however Shaylee has moved up to the 1-2 grade team and Addison is still on the K team.  So three kids, three different teams, three different practices, three different games.   Preston's game which are in St. George.  So we are still going to figure out that.  Dean and I will just have to divide and con core if they are at the same times.  Which a lot of the girls games are.  Luckily they play in the same area so we can just turn around or run to the other Field to watch for a little while. Also, the girls have decided after the Olympics this summer that they do not want to do dance anymore...Gymnastics is know their thing.  So the girls are in Gymnastics once a week as well.  Also, Preston had to do Flag Football as well, and I figured...why not the games don't affect his Soccer, so we should be fine.  Well kind of...forgot about the practices.  So we also have Flag Football games, and practices to add to the mix, also poor Preston has Scouts, and Piano.  I am feeling really bad for Preston though, it does seem like everyone and everything wants to land on a Wednesday with him, and us.  School with kids 9 help out in classes tell 11:30 get Addison.  Pick up kids at 3:30 take Preston straight to scouts, pick up Preston a little early from scouts to get him to a little of football practice at 5-6, leave football practice at 5:30 to get Preston to soccer practice at 5:30-6:30, pick up Preston @6:30 to take him to piano at 6:30-7.  He then comes home eats, does piano, reading, and heads to bed by 8:00-8:30.      The kids are having fun, and here are a few pictures of them in there elements.

Who can find Shaylee????

26.2

St. George Marathon
2012
Yea here comes dad hold up your signs....Preston not so high I cant see dad lower it..."what you want me to higher it".  No I got a picture of your sign not dad.  Lower it.

Well at least I got one picture of him. Then I found this big one on Aunt Dani's blog so I took it so we now have two.  He had his Dad and Mom there and other family member's cheering him on as well as a few of my family members. He did awesome,3:42.  We were very proud of him, he look really strong, and good coming across the finish line.

 Brothers running the marathon.
Bro is that blood on your shirt...Yea don't you know it's cool to make your nipples bleed.

Family shot.  After this it was all over, Dean was sick.  He was in bed all day Saturday, we couldn't even make it home we went straight to Quin and Dani's and even then I had to pull over twice...(if you know what I mean).   I ended up having to coach Preston's soccer game, which gees we had to play Latinos who where playing soccer in there mother's womb before they were even born, but we did get 5  goals on them.(lost count of how many they scored...enough to make my goalie cry).  I retire.  After the game a friend of ours called in a prescription for Dean, we got him home, and he is still sick and didn't even make it to priesthood, hopefully tomorrow is better.   Dean is asking me to get him an orange Julius, Fries, and sprite.  At 9:00 tonight, so I think we are on the mend.

Something to live by...

Be The Good!!

So it begins...

Go BYU!!
On any given Saturday in the Fall, this is where you will find my family.  In our living room with all the Y get-up we can put on, and yes, a blue bowl of popcorn down there at the bottom of the picture.

Tonight is a big game...BYU vs. utah.  All I have to say is.  Go BYU!!!  We want some happy people at our house...so I would say wish us luck, but ....we don't need it.  Ok, I'll be honest, we do need a little luck whenever we play them. I think both teams do.
Also I got to spend the day with about 240 + boys today teaching them the art of BB gun shooting.  I'm the second councilor in the primary, but it sometimes feels like I'm in charge of Cubs....and then on the side do some primary stuff.  It was fun though it kept me busy, so time went by fast.  Preston made his way over to my station, and I couldn't help but snag a few pictures before I had to yell nicely ask a boy to quit pointing his gun at the boy next to him.  Good times.  I also may have laughed a little...as one boy was going to change his target he threw it on the ground at me and said "I don't want to keep this, it has holes all over it.!! What?!!...Really?!! I guess he didn't know what he was really doing the whole time. I don't know:)
Preston had fun, and cant wait to set up a little target outback to keep on practicing.  Will see.
