Annual day before school donuts and park.

For the last 3 years we have done our annual Donut and park day.  We wake up and grab donuts for breakfast, and head to park to play America Ninja Warrior Course.  We love playing at the park that way.  The kids had a blast and of course it couldn't be a nice fun time, it had to be competitive with timing and everything.  We loved it though, and loved spending some time with the kids.

School is back in session 2015-2016.

Fist day of school was a little hectic with the different schedules we had going on this year.  We made it though, and the kids loved their first day back.  Addison was excited to see friends, and meet her new Chinese teacher.  She is really excited about 3rd grade, and hope she can learn all her times tables.  She sure is a little loving girl.
Preston leaves bright and early for school he has to be there by 7:45 so he usually leave with Dad when dad leaves to work in the morning around 7:30.  On the first day of school however; I took him, and almost forgot a first day of school picture with him.  I made him do it in front of his school he was a little embarrassed, but he did it for me.  He loves intermediate school and getting home earlier then the other kids.  I love the one on one time I get with him.
Shaylee was such a big help that first day back.  The night before she had cleaned out her and Addison's draws and closet, and had their bed all made.  She helped get Breck ready, and we still had plenty of time for pictures and for me to walk them both to their classes, and meet their new Chinese teachers.  Shaylee has a lot of friends in her class this year, and she is pretty excited about that.  She also loves that she gets to be a lunch worker this year.

Brecken asks daily where all his friends are at.  Where Addy, Shaylee, Preston go???  Over, and Over, and OVER.  He sure does miss them.  He has been really busy himself though.  Starting last Friday he is getting Potty Trained.  So we are staying really busy with that one. (More to come on that later).   Sad to realize my baby isn't a baby anymore, but happy to do away with diapers, even though it's way more work if you ask me.  I sure do love my kids.

Date's with the kids!!

We were a little short on time this year, But we got the kids day dates with mom in before school started.  We pretty much had everything we needed for school.  I took the kids to go get a few extra things, and then out to lunch.  The girls both chose some new earrings, nail polish and there favorite snack.  Preston chose a few things he needed for his classes, and some of his favorite snacks.  I love this tradition, but almost didn't get it done this year.  We had dates monday, tuesday, and wednesday, the day before school started.  I feel like I really get to see the kids personalities come out when they aren't with the other siblings, and they have my undivided attention.  I love spending time with them individually and just listen to them talk and everything they have to tell.  Some are definitely more verbal then others.  I love them all so much, and am so grateful they are mine, and I get to have them in my life.  They make me want to be a better person/mom for them.  I really am lucky to be a stay at home mom to such wonderful kids.  Glad I get eternity with this crazy bunch of mine.

Wet & Wild

The weekend before school starts and we decided to take the kids for one last Hoorah.  We went down to Vegas and played at Wet and Wild for the day, it was such a great day.  It wasn't to crowded at all, and the kids had a blast on all the rides.  Brecken wasn't his normal self, and didn't have ton's of energy, and wouldn't eat for most of the day.  We stayed from when it opened to about 5:30, when the kids got hungry.  We had a great time being together as a family.  That night we went to our hotel, got dinner, and called it a night.  The next morning we were up and about ready to shop.  We spent half the day shopping, and then headed home since Breck still wasn't feeling that great.  We did have a great time and will probably make it a once a year thing.

Girls Trip

During the spring my sister Steph had called and asked if we wanted to do a girls weekend in the summer.  We jumped at the chance.  I didn't think the end of July would come soon enough. Shaylee and Addison were in heaven that they were invited and kept saying how wonderful it was not to have Brecken with us.  Ha ha, but really it was amazing not to have Breck with us.  We left Friday morning, and went shopping around Thanksgiving point.  We reached Stephanie's house and freshened up because we were going to the Move Concert, put on by Julianne, and Derek Hough.  Lisa couldn't make it because of the baby. Mom met us and we went out to dinner with a bunch of friends and family.  After dinner we headed to the concert where we met up with Lea…who was taking lisa's spot.  So excited to see her.  The concert was so fun.  We loved it.  They are so talented.  They sang a ton as well as danced in every number it was a blast. After the concert we ended up going to Leatherby's for Ice-cream.  It was so good.  The next day Steph, mom, dad, and I all went to a session in the Draper Temple.  It was so wonderful and so fun to be there with family.  After the temple we went and got pedicures, the out to eat.  We then headed on home to our boys who were missing us.  We had so much fun, and our definitely going to make this an annual thing.
