Florida Trip Day #5

 Sunday, we had no big plans this day as we were hoping to just take it easy.  We started the day off by doing some shopping.  We went to some outlets and a few stores.  We had to wait in quite a few lines to even get in the store because of Covid protocol, but we made the most of it and had fun being together and getting souvenir and things.  After shopping we went home and ate lunch and some took a nap while I  some of us went down to the pool again.  We ended up not staying too long because we decided to go play some basketball and tennis.  The kids had a blast playing and Landon was of course right in the thick of it.  We played tell it got dark and headed back to eat some dinner and then go crab hunting on the beach.  We used our phone flash lights and leslie had bought little nets, at first we weren't' having any luck but then we kept spotting them and had fun for over an hour looking for the little guys. Shaylee didn't not like them at all and wanted to leave right when we got there.  It was a surprise to us all when she was the one that found all the crabs.  She said it was because she was watching where she stepped because she didn't want to find them.

Florida day #4

Saturday we all pack up to go to a beach we had heard a lot about.  Navara Beach.  They said it had some good snorkeling, and things.  Maybe we would have enjoyed it more if it wasn't a holiday weekend, because it was a lot of work getting our stuff there and took about over and hour and a half to get there.  It Was PACKED. The sand was still nice but our beach at the place we were staying was so much better.  We stayed most of the day playing in the water and sand and headed back around 3:00 because we knew it would take awhile to get home.  We stopped at bubba Gumps on our way home and everyone was starving.  They kids demolished there food in record time and we licked our plates clean.  We got back to the condo and again crashed from a long day in the sun.

 

Florida Vacation Day#3

Day 3 started bright and early for the older kids and Dean. They were all going deep sea fishing.  I  get so seasick I  opted to stay back with the younger boys.  The kids had so much fun catching fish...well I  should say after the seasickness wore off for some.  It was rough there for awhile for Shaylee.  They each caught plenty of fish, and at the end of the trip Preston pulled in a shark.  They were able to take their catches and have them cut and cleaned so we could grill them up at a restaurant later that night.  While the big kids and Dean were gone the boys and I  meet up with Leslie her sister and Owen to go to the little aquarium there.  The boys loved watching all the animals and seeing them up close.  We first hit up a dolphin show and the boys loved watching the dolphins jump around and do tricks.  We then headed outside to look for seals, turtles, otters, gators, penguins and more.  The boys favorite was a seal that was playing against the glass with them.  He would follow their hands wherever they put them on the glass.  The boys each took turns watching the seal follow them wherever they went.  We got a picture with a parrot and Brecken was brave enough to hold it for the picture.  We then made it over to the touch aquarium but my boys wanted nothing to do with touching the sting ray or the starfish.  We then made it over to the seal show and the boys thought it was hilarious.  They couldn't stop laughing at the funny things the seals did.  We then went onto the alligator area and then went back inside to look into some of the little fish and seahorses and other things they have inside.  The boys had a blast and we headed back home stopping for lunch.  They others made it home before us and were all sleeping.  I  took the boys to the pool so they could all rest up.  After the pool we went inside to get ready to all go to dinner at a restaurant that would cook and serve our fish.  The seafood lovers were so excited for this.  Me not so much.  I  ended up getting some veggie roman and it was one of the worse things Ive ever put in my mouth.  I  was starving but only could try a couple bites before I  threw in the towel.  Landon and Brecken didn't care for theirs either.  Everyone else loved their food and the restaurant was so nice and fast cooking everything up.  Everyone loved the fish they cooked up and said it was the best they had.  After dinner we went back for pictures on the beach at sunset which we missed.  Oh, well. Then headed out for some Ice Cream.  Poor Landon's face in these ice cream pictures are so red and burnt. We all came home and feel asleep fast from our long days.
