The kids all tried out for high school fall sports and all made their teams. Preston made the Golf team, and also made the school poster they hang up around town letting people know when each sport is scheduled to play this fall. He is hoping to have his best season yet, and I hope he does he has worked so hard at golf. Shaylee made the Varsity Soccer team this year, but still drops down to help J.V. then they pull her out early to play with the Varsity. She made that goal this year to make the Varsity team and she worked so hard all summer to make it happen. Addison decided to try out tennis this year. She has been working on it this last year and was excited to make the team. She was paired for J.V. doubles as a Freshman, and is so excited for this upcoming season. I'm coaching Brecken's soccer team again, and Landon will also be on a pre K team as well. These kids are keeping all of our weeknights full with fun sports to watch.

Back to school 21-22
School started for these kids way to soon if you ask me. They were all excited to be heading back to see friends and start sports though. Preston made the Exect Council so he was Busy the month leading up to school started painting parking spots and getting ready for the assembly. They worked so hard and spent so many hours getting ready for the first day of school. They did an amazing job. Preston is a Senior and not sure how I feel about that. I'm definitely excited for him though. He made the High school golf team and has been playing pretty well. Shaylee is a Sophomore and is loving going to the High school. She is really close to getting her license and cant wait. She made the Varsity Soccer team this year. Man she had to work hard for that sport. Addison is a Freshman and in her last year at the middle school. She decided to tryout for the Tennis team and made it as well and has really enjoyed getting better at that. Brecken is in 3rd grade in the Chinese dual immersion program. He loves art and origami, and loves being back at school with his friends. Landon is in his second year of preschool. He is going to 2 different schools this year. Happy day mon and Wednesday, and ELC learning tues, Thurs, and Friday. He is so smart, but just needs friends and the social aspect. I miss the kids when summer ends, but I do enjoy a clean house longer than 10 seconds, and food lasting longer.

Grandmas Birthday
We had a girls day and took grandma to lunch for her birthday. We knew she had been wanting a new bike and maybe one that could be electric. Dad said he would pay for more then half if we came up with the rest. We went to Zupas for lunch and then had Dad meet us there after lunch with the bike in the back of his truck. She was so surprised and excited. She loves it and dad is already looking into one as well so he can keep up with her.

Puzzles
We got on a puzzle kick right before school started and spent many hours putting them together. It was mostly Addison and I, but we did recruit Dean for the Icecream one. The first one was a mini puzzle so that was hard on its own because the pieces were so little you could barely grab them and see them. It was 150 pieces but was tricky. Addison then started in on the St. George puzzle and I was soon involved with that one as well. We finished it in a day I do believe. Our Ice cream one was over 1000 pieces and it took us about 3 days since there were so many of the same colors. By far our hardest. Since the Ice cream one we've done 2 more but just run out of time to do them now with all the school work and high school sports going on, but it was fun.

Kids
We were all a starting to get the sickness of Covid. The olympics were on so the kids and Dean were still up watching that. I had taken some nyquil to get to sleep for the night with my sickness. All the sudden I heard the loudest boom sound. I heard some Dean yell and came running out of my room to find our front door kicked in. It broke the frame around the door and the dead bolt. We new it was some random kids thinking they were pulling a prank so we walked around the neighborhood. We ended up calling the cops to report it and see what they could find. They asked if we wanted to press charges but we felt like we didn't want to scare the poor kids that bad, but said if they found out who did it we would like them to come talk to us. After they took picture and wrote everything up we got to work with the help of my dad and tried to screw the door back together for the night. While they were doing that they found the kids who kicked in our door. Dean had a nice talk with them, and hopefully they won't be doing stupid stuff like that anymore. I guess we need to invest in a camera for our house.

Eves Cousin Swim
We had one last hurrah with Katie and the girls before they few back home. They came down to stay with Katie's parents and came over to swim for the day. A few of us weren't feeling 100% so Preston and I sat out and just watched. (couple days later we would realize we have Covid). The weather was a little over cast so we were able to stay outside and hangout and watch everyone swim. We had lunch together and then I took the kids home around 4:00.

Back to School date with the Littles
The day after we got back from up to Bear Lake the big kids decided to go down to Vegas with Dean. I stayed home with the little boys and took them on a back to school date. We started off at target, ross, and TJ Maxx, to look for a back to school outfit, and then took a break from shopping and they chose to eat at Golden Corral two words...Dessert bar! Man I can't stand that place, but well played on the dessert bar the kids chose it every darn time. After lunch we headed out to Fiesta Fun. We blew through money playing all the games and Brecken had a blast sticking to a couple he new would give him the most tickets, while Landon went with ones that gave no tickets but were fun for him. Overall I think they had a blast. We then headed to Walmart to buy some back to school supplies. We tried to get everything we would need so I wouldn't have to go back. After Walmart we grab the new movie Tom and Jerry. We also grabbed treat and dinner and went home to watch our show. I sure do love these boys and cant believe how fast they are growing up. Brecken is heading into 3rd grade, while Landon is in his last year of Preschool. They make life fun, and keep us on our toes.
