Big Dr's Appointments for my Oldest and Youngest

Landon and Preston both had Dr. apts the same day.  Landon went in for his 5 year old checkup and shots to get him all ready for Kindergarten.  He is such a little guy 38% in height, and 14% in weight.  He has only gained 3 lbs from his 3 year apt to his 5 year apt.  He was a rock star with his shots and got one in each leg.  He also go 2 prizes, and then got to go with mom to pick out a treat and prize at the dollar store.  Preston had a big apt as well.  He had Dr apts and Labs to finish up his mission papers.  He was 151 lbs (which he was super excited about).  He broke the 150 mark and was 6' 3" with shoes.  He is 98% in height, and he is in 50% for weight.  He couldn't be prouder. lol.  He had to run over to labs and give some blood for a few test they like to get done before the mission.  (he wasn't to happy about that).  He has a hard time giving blood or IV things, they just can't seem to catch his veins.  Poor guy is like his mom.  Anyway we got all that done and are just waiting for all the paperwork the dr has to send in to the bishop.  I  can't believe I  have one going on a mission and one going to Kindergarten.

 

Pickleball Saturday's

We had some amazing weather on some Saturdays in February so we capitalized on the weather and invited all my family to have a picnic lunch and play some pickleball.  we went to some courts that had a park as well so when the younger ones got tired of pickleball they could go play at the park.  We did teams if we won you played the other winners and if you lost you played the other team that lost it was fun and I  think Dean and Preston ended up winning everyone.  Lisa and I  though did win Matt and Shaylee...that's worth documenting.

 

Valentines Day

Valentine's day was on a Monday this year..Shaylee had her final Basketball game in Cedar that night, and I  didn't want to miss seeing Dean so we watched it from home via facebook live. Preston went up to support the girls team so it was just a few of us for Valentine dinner.  The kids all wanted DQ for their dinner and Dean got outback steakhouse for ours. Landon had two different Valentine parties this year.  Since he has two different preschools.  He wanted to make a Puppy Valentines box...so we did our best.  One of his preschools had them dress their best for a manners tea as well that day.  Brecken didn't get to make a box...his teacher just had them decorate bags.  We had a wonderful night in with the kids.  I  sure do love them all.  Most of all DEAN!

 

Saturday Happenings and Rec Ball Champions

Since rec ball for Preston and Brecken got over we have had some free Saturday's in our house....until soccer started.  So for those few Saturday's we hit up the pickleball courts, and some 9 square if the weather got warm enough.  We invited Grandma and Grandpa, Stephanie and some friends.  We had a blast and I loved hanging out with everyone.  Preston's team (Santa's little ballers) won the rec championship and were super excited about that.  They got championship shirts and I  think their picture put up in the Rec Center. They only lost once in their season.

 

Turning 40

Dean surprised me with a Ski Trip up to Brian Head for my BIG 40th birthday.  We drove up Thursday evening and had dinner at Rusty's up Cedar Canyon.  It was so good.  Then we drove up to our condo we were staying at in Brian Head.  We got into our room and it was so cold 51 to be exact.  Dean turned on this little space heater thing that wouldn't heat a closet, and set to work getting our fire to work.  Well after a couple hours we gave up on the fire and just cuddled in bed and tried to stay warm watching the olympics on t.v.  It was a blast being with just Dean.  The next morning we woke up and headed to the slopes.  This was my first official time Skiing, and I  was terrified, and loved it all at the same time.  I  wasn't' the best, but started figuring it out and had fun when my hands and feet were numb.  We went for a few hours and then I got sick...really bad altitude sickness (im guessing) We ended up getting done around 12:30.  We went back into our room and got warm packed up and headed home.  When we got home we were surprised with some fun letters from my family, and decoration and presents.  We stayed in that night and Dean went and got Durangos.  We watched a movie with the boys and then headed to bed.
