Family Golf Day

No school on Monday Human Right Day for the kids so we talked to Preston, and then that afternoon we went out to Sky Mountain to do some golfing as family.  Shaylee is trying to get ready for the season and it was a nice enough day for winter so we all went. Grandma and Stephanie tagged a long as well.  We were attacked by geese on hole 7 and 8.  They made such a poop mess everywhere you stepped and they wouldn't even get off the green on hole number 8.  Both boys thought that was pretty funny.  It started to get a little chilly for the evening around hole 7 so we made it pretty far before the sun set and we were cold.  Landon could swing at a ball all day.  Brecken and Addison last a couple holes, and I'm just along for the rider.

Jan 9th-15th

Another week of still being sick.  He has been in and out of the hospital and with specialists to see what they can find.  He cant walk very far without feeling faint sick and headaches.  Elder Torgerson has been heaven sent.  They try and get out to at least see on a few friends they are trying to get to come to church.  Preston was so sick but the sisters had a baptism and the boy wanted Preston to do it.  He knew he had to try and ended up being able to last for the baptism before he went home sick again.  He hasn't taken a ton of pictures because they aren't out much but he did send some before he became so sick and the baptism ones are from this week.  No answers have been found and all test are coming back negative.  Its really starting to take its toll of Elder Monson Physically and mentally.  We are continuing to pray and have fasted that something will be learned or found and that he won't have to come home.

First day Haltering Sheep

The day after we got the sheep all tagged and weighed we came back and put them in their new home. We are sharing a little coral with a few friends who are also doing it.  The Gouldings were nice enough to let us all use their facilities.  We got on a feeding schedule with everyone else and the kids have to try and walk their lamb every day. We went out and tried our first day with the halter and a walk.  I've never laughed so hard in my life.  The sheep did not like the halter or being taken out of their pins for a walk.  Addison's wouldn't budge it would lay and jump.  Brecken got dragged quite a bit and would also lay down.  The first day Dean pretty much had to man handle Breckens on the walk, and Addison's didn't make it to far.  Grandpa Eves decided he wanted to be included in on this adventure and had been reading up on all things sheep and 4 H.  So he told Addison next time they go out give him a call and he will go with them.  This should be very entertaining each day to say the least.  Hopefully the sheep will get used to this fast.
