KOLOB with Cousin

While Dani and I were at JellyStone we decided to plan a Kolob day trip to go up and paddle board, Kayak, and play in the lake. It was a little windy at times and we decided to paddle over to the island in the lake.  Well the wind wanted to work against us and Brecken was paddling by himself for the first time.  I  had Landon in with me, Dean did the paddle board.  It was a little rough when the wind picked up but it was so fun to play and be in cooler water and weather.  We made it to some rocks close to the island and the kids wanted to play on them and jump off those so we hung out around there for awhile.  We then paddled around the island and headed back to shore.  My arms were a little tired taking Landon all around the lake in the breezy, but it was still fun and we all loved it.  We then cooked hotdogs and s'mores and just ung out.  The fire was a little hot in the middle of the day, but we made do with it and I  think the kids ate their weight in marshmallows. We tried to skip some rocks and show the kids how to do it, bu it was rough lol. We had to get back to get some Fathers day things done, but it was fun to get away to a little cooler weather and be with family.  

 

Mini Golfing

Shaylee was gone on her senior trip and Addison had Girls camp on a friday so we took the boys mini golfing in the heat of the day.  It was a little hot, but fun.  They are getting more patient and are getting better with mini golfing.  It was a close race, but dad had a hole in one and that put him over the top.  The boys had earned a lot of tickets the last time they went to Fiesta fun with their cousin kai, we didn't have time to cash in on those tickets so they went in and chose some good things and still had a lot of tickets left over.   

 

Lemonade Stands.

My boys love lemonade stands.  I  hate them.  They had friends that wanted to do them as well so we busted them out within a couple of week from each other. We let Brecken and Owen go first and they did had pop and popsicles to sale.  They sold enough to make 35$ each.  But we were still left with a ton of pop so Landon and his friend cooper had a lemonade stand the next week and they made about the same amount.  I  had about 15 pop left but we can handle that and we got this activity over with early on in the summer.  lol.  

 

June 4th-10th

This week was busy with conferences.  It was the last leadership conference for Preston.  They had the Elders/Sisters who were leaving at the next transfer to bear their testimony one last time.  The President and his wife are also leaving the same days Preston so it will be a sad goodbye for the Asuncion mission.  The new president will be coming the saturday before they leave on tuesday.  Preston and Elder Hughe and are working hard to find friends.  They had colds this week which took each of them down for a day on seperate days so that ate in to their week as well as the conference.  They did come up with a big Family home evening with the ward and asked everyone in the ward to ask others to come for the night.  They had games and things.  They had an okay turnout but had a fun night regardless.
