Maui (Fall break) day#1

After 2 years and 3 cancelled trips we finally made our way to Maui.  I  had bought Dean tickets for his 40th birthday to go to Maui for his birthday present and graduation present.  We would leave in April 2019.  Well Covid hit big time in the USA around March.  They shut down all flights.  Dean and I  rescheduled for October.  I  for sure thought things would be cleared out by then.  Well October came and went and Hawaii was shut down to tourists.  So we scheduled for March of 2020 while we waited I found tickets for like 169$ per person for Maui so I  told dean we should take the whole family with that kind of Deal.  So we added 5 more to our March trip.  March came around and we were all set we had packed got our covid test taken that are required to fly, and were just waiting to hear back from them.  Well by 4:00 the next morning we were ready to leave with NO sign of our covid tests.  We had to take a lose on our VRBO, and put off are flights to Hawaii for the 3rd time.  During the summer we decided to try again for Fall break.  4 time trying.  We were not' leaving anything for chance we went down to vegas 72 hours before our flight to get a hawaii approved 24 hour covid test.  They all came back negative.  Hawaii had asked all tourist to give them tell November to get over the surge of covid cases, but we didn't want to put it off any longer.  My parents, Steph, and Devin and Lisa's families all canceled, but we couldn't after trying for 2 years. lol.  We left our house at 4:00 am Wednesday morning to book a flight in Vegas for 7:00.  We made it with time to spare and everyone couldn't believe we were finally making it to Maui.  We landed in Maui around 10:35 Hawaii time so we knew we were in for a long day.  We stopped at the Costco and Walmart for food and then went looking for our Vrbo.  AFter we ate and got everyone unpacked we realized that Preston didn't have a charging cord for his computer that he needed to finish up some college classes...so back to walmart, target, best buy, you name it we stopped and couldn't find any charger to hook up his computer too.  We were all a little grumpy and wanted to be done in the car.  We stopped at a shop and rented boogie boards, and umbrellas to use for the week, and went home and were in bed by like 6:00.  lol.
