Maui Day 5 Road to Hana

Sunday morning we headed out on the road by 7:30.  A little later then we wanted but still a good time.  We were all pretty excited about doing all the things along the way to Hana.  I  was really nervous about the road and car sickness. It wasn't bad at all.  They've upgraded the road and as long as I  looked out the window and didn't look back or down I  did great. We stopped at an arbitrarium, and walked through it took look at all the beautiful plants, trees, and flowers in Maui, We took some pictures next to some rainbow eucalyptus, and stopped and played in some waterfalls along the way.  The one we played in was the lower fall, the upper had a lot of people and no one was down in the lower falls which I  thought were better anyway.  After the waterfall we stopped at the halfway to Hana stand to get their famous Banana bread.  Everyone devoured it.  The we made it to black sand beach where we had a picnic and waited for our reservation to get into the beach part area.  We spent the most time there hiking, exploring and laying on the black beach.  We left around 3:30 to start making our way back down the mountain.  We were all spent from spending the whole day in the car I  think we got back around 5:30 ate dinner and shopped a little bit and went to bed.  Maui is such a beautiful place.  Half the time we would be in rain, and then the sun would come out for while and then rain again.  I  guess that is why it's so green and beautiful.
