Preston got the okay from the Dr to leave for Paraguay Monday August 29th. He was so excited to be out in the field and not in a class room all day. He was going to miss his district a lot but was just ready to leave, Little did he know he would be eating his words saying he wishes he stayed to let his foot heal one more week. lol. I got his flight info and logged it all in so I could watch his flights throughout the day. They left Mexico around 10:00, and arrived in Paraguay around 11:30 at night, by the time they made it through customs and visa stuff it was 1:30 before they left the airport and another hour before they got to the mission presidents home. He was able to call us the next day and we enjoyed talking. He was so excited to be there and get going on the work. He said the flights weren't bad at all, and he was glad he flew with a bunch of his district over there. He was excited because the mission president took them all to Mcdonalds for lunch the next day. They were going to get their companions the next day and head out for their area after that. I was so excited to see his face and talk to him. He looked good and sounded good. I sure do love him and his willingness to serve the lord.

Big Shots Golf
The last week in August we were able to go to a silent opening Friends and family event for Big Shots Golf." dad got the invite but was out of town so he told Lisa and us to use it. We scheduled our tee time for around 11:00. We each got a free meal, and a free hour of golf. We had a blast and played a couple different games. One was hitting blow ups and getting points the other was a pinball machine type game. I won the blow up game, and I think Addison won the pinball game. Thats what made it fun you didn't have to be the best at golf to win. The little boys even beat Dean and me sometimes. The food was so good. We tried all sorts of stuff. I got the trio with salsa, guacamole and hummus with chips and pita chips. We all loved that. Dean got fish tacos, Addison a chicken sandwich, the boys tried Chicken strips, Shaylee tried some garlic butter wings. We loved it all and were so full on trying everyone. We loved going with the Graffs and had the best time all together. Cant wait to go back again.

Hiking Molly's Nipple
Dean and I decided to hike Molly's Nipple the first Friday the kids were all back in school. Dean doesn't' work Friday's so it was nice to finally just be the two of us for the first part of the day. We dropped off the boys and then headed over to the trail head. It was already warm at 9:00 so we tried to be fast to beat the heat. We were making good progress and having fun. We went over a few cliffs thinking we were getting close to the top and then once we scaled the last cliff we realized it leveled off and we had to walk and hike even further to get to our destination. I'll tell you when you think you've reached your destination only to realize you have quite a bit more to go it makes you a little mad. lol. I hadn't eaten breakfast which usually doesn't' bother me, but since it was getting later in the morning it started to have its effects. Dean made it to the top first and took off his shirt he said for a "Nipple Picture on Molly's nipple". ya really creative we know. I made it to the top but had on a sports bra so I pretended to do the same picture as dean. After we wrote in the journal they have at the top of the mountain and looked around for awhile we then headed back down the mountain so we could get back to pick up kids from early out Friday. Going down made your legs a little wobbly like jello, but up was definitely the worst part. We had fun though and would do it again in a heartbeat. Cant believe it was both our first time doing it and we've lived here so long.
