Hey guys what's up?! Elder Monson here! I'm sorry, I know it's been a hot minute. We are going to try and cover some of the important things and then just get into this last week! Hold on tight because it's going to be an adventure!
Alright so first of all I missed the birthday and new years talk.. yes, it was my birthday on December 30th. If you forgot to wish me a happy birthday or get me something that's totally fine. But I do charge interest. So the bay wish and presents are going to have to be 17 percent extra of what you would have done. Thank you so much!
December 29th Elder Domingues and I got a message from the Zone leaders. They said that we were going to do divisions. My comp and I were contemplating why and then we realized it was because their area needed a little bit of Elder Monson magic in it for the day. So I went to the zone leaders area with Elder Waid the night of the 29th. We woke up and did some workouts. He asked me to write how good he did in my email but I think we all know that I'm no liar. He did decent. He really pushed his limits after saying that he did better than me. I think he found out later in the day after asking if we could take a 4th break of walking who was really doing a bit better.
Paradise in Paraguay: Yeah you read that right. Something nobody thought was possible. And yet I saw it. Paradise in Paraguay. For lunch on my birthday we had a member going to feed us. He picked us up in his car and spoke only English. His wife bought me a cake. They had golfcourses and pools. Insane.
Then I got transferred.
Guarambaré: New area is called Guarambaré. It's super sick and I love it. My new comp is super sick. I love it.
Still working on the spanish I'm trying.
Funny story for the week: we had a food eating contest with an excommunicated member and it was super sick! It was so funny. We're going back tonight to eat some hamburgers. I started out with the enthusiasm in the email and sadly ran out of time! Bit I love you all and will send one next week!
Love you all!!
We had another talk with Preston on MLK day. It was great to hear from him and catch up. The kids didn't have school and Dean didn't have work so we all got to talk with him. He loves his new area even though it is really big. They do a lot of walking and buses. He said the heat this summer is getting so bad. (He means more so the humidity). He loves the people here. A lot more young people who want to help the missionaries find people. Which he said has been the biggest difference from his last area. His comp and him get along great. They got invited to go to this excommunicated man's home to have a hot dog eating contest. He does it with all the missionaries. Preston said he didn't nor couldn't break the record. He said the buns were so big and had way to much bread to hot dog ratio. He did love it and loves the man that does it. He told us next week was the hamburger eating contest. Can't wait to hear how that one goes. Cant believe he will be out 6 months this next week. He is growing in the gospel, but still our fun loving entertainer Preston. We love the calls the most. Godspeed Elder Monson
